Okay here's my crew a family of 7 includes the nanny for a total of 4 adults (dd12 consider adult i suppose) and 3 4yo's. So two rooms are a must is there any way for us to feasibily to a trip from dec 29th-jan1. I'm not agaisnt buying an ap as we will be back from jan 7-9 for the disney marathon just my dh and i. I was thinking of doing park hoppers maybe 3 day ones for 5 of our group and then extended one like a 7 day or something and an ap if we stay on site and need it for a good rate. I'm not against any hotel as we've never been onsite. I know i can get a 2 bedroom at Bonnett Creek for 680 for those nights. Can you give me any idea what kinda money it would take could pass's and rooms be done without breaking me? I don't even know what codes or anything about booking a room at disney. I know you think i'm nuts but i'm an US addict and could help you all day long getting a great rate there but please help me with this. I am reading and learning about DD as the triplets have a birthday in June that might be a great way to get some $$ for them. Can DD be used to by pass's or in the DD or is it just WDW and there property? Thanks for the help. Just FWIW one of my triplets is hanicapped and can't not walk so we require a crib for her to sleep in. :)

First of all, God Bless You for having the strength to deal with triplets! It's not a task that I think I would be able to handle!

The Rooms
You're choosing the most expensive and crowded time of year to visit WDW. Dec. 29 - Jan. 1 is still considered to be Holiday Season. Rooms rates will be at their highest. Rack rates at Values during Holiday Season are $114 per room per night before taxes. You might be able to get a discount with an AP or codes.

If you're determined to stay onsite, then two connecting rooms in a Value resort (ASMu, ASMo, AllStarSports or PopC) would be the most economical. For rooming purposes, your DD12 will be consider a junior. No additonal charge will be incurred for having her in your room.

The Passes
There are no 3-day Park Hopper passes available to the general public. However, there are some available to convention and meeting attendees. If you're going to be going to any kind of meeting in Orlando during your stay, you could look into purchasing them from the meeting's sponsor.

Alamo is also offering 3-day PHPs. You may be able to purchase from them. To order, call (888) 317-6392 or (407) 934-7639. You may have to confirm that you have a reservation with Alamo in order to qualify. Prices are $178.93 adult, $143.79 child, including tax.

Otherwise, you'll have to purchase 4-day PHs for everyone. The best available price that I know of for the 4-day PH is still at your local Disney Store ($215.13/adult & $172.53/child).

Disney Dollars
Disney Dollars work just like good old American cash at most places on WDW property, including the hotels. They can also be used at Disneyland and in your local Disney Store. And, yes, you can use them to purchase your park passes.

Disney Dollars look like play money with a little bit of pixie dust and they have pictures of the characters where US money has pix of dead presidents. They come in $1, $5 and $10 denominations. If you don't spend the entire amount, you will be given change back in the form of US money.

The Crib
Disney does rent cribs but I'm not sure of the size. You would probably find a better answer by posting on the DISabilities board.

Have Fun Planning!

Tammy I know you are a big fan of the Portifino but my suggestion also would be connecting rooms at All Star Movies. My kids loved the huge Toy story icons. It is a value resort but the price and atmosphere are dead on for a 2 night stay.

Another suggestion would be to check out the DVC board and look into renting points for a 2 bedroom. We have done this and it was easy and a great price.

If you are not park hopping look into the bounce back ticket, or just splurge on a 4 day and then the next time you head over to Disney you will have the day paid for.

Thanks to both of you for replies. Some reason i did'nt get a respones notice email. :( but thanks again for the helpful advise. I was toying with the idea of staying on site but i have a "connectin" at RCI resort which owns Bonnett Creek. I've not seen this condo nor do i have any idea what type of accomadation i would be getting. I think it's a new property and i can get a two bedroom there for 680 for those 4 nights and 5 days. I could price line a resort for two rooms for about the same price with all the taxes and fees included. We rented a home two years ago and did'nt really have a problem with parking as we have handicapped sticker and AAA we used the AAA parking lot and go a HC space so that worked out wonderfully. I'm not a fan of the mouse but the kids insist. We are doing US/IOA for five night next summer but i just thought this would be a nice break for our family. HOCKEYMOM would you mind telling me where i can get more information on the bounce back tickets? I am thinking from my limited knowledge my kids would enjoy mgm, epcot and mk the most. None of us have been to any other park besides mk. We also have to buy our nanny pass as well. Am i right that there really is no break to buying longer length pass's? Thanks for the suggestions and help.

Just wanted to let you know there's a great site out there that has a ton of reviews on Timeshares, I'm sure you'd get a great idea of what Bonnet Creek is like. Unfortunately I don't know the exact address, but search under "Timeshare" and you should be able to come across it. Very similar to this site,

Have a great trip. I also am struggling as to how to afford to take a big family to Disney, believe it or not you can almost buy a Timeshare in the Orlando area for the same cost!!!!
