We are leaving for HH on a Saturday, but not checking in until Sunday. We are thinking about staying in Charleston for that night and enjoying a few hours there before heading to HH the next morning.

Any suggestions as to where to stay in the area. We need a reasonable priced place, preferrably with a pool, in town or nearby. We will need either a suite or 2 rooms since it will be me, DH, my mom and 4 teenage boys.

Thanks!!!!
Karen

We've stayed at the Embassy Suites on Meeting Street, which was within walking distance of the historic area. It was also close to the visitors center where you can pick up the trolley. It can be pricey, depending upon the time of year and when you book. They share parking with the Hampton Inn--there is a cost to park. There is a small pool. We've also stayed closer to the market area in the Best Western King Charles Inn (?) I think that is the name. Parking is included. The rooms were les expensive and a little older than the ones at the Embassy Suites. I found it to be a little more noisy than ES. It also has a pool.

You might want to try www.biddingfortravel.com for advice on hotels in the Charleston area. These are hotels people have been getting using Priceline. You might want to look at the Savannah area as well for a one-night stay. Savannah is about 4 1/2 hours from Disney.

There is also a great Hampton Inn in downtown Chs right in the historic district.

Have fun.
