Need Photo Album Help!!

I bought plain photo albums for pictures from my families up coming trip to Disney in August. My question is I would like to decorate the outside with Disney things but have no idea how to keep anything onto the album plus how to protect it for the future. I was thinking of putting Disney clip art or stickers and then using modge podge(not sure if I spelled it right) but I don't know if that would ruin the book. The cover is made of card board.

If anyone has any ideas I would love to hear them.
