I got this email yesterday in response to my reservation request for April
2012:
We are not (intentionally) ignoring you. A little more than a week ago, we experienced a total loss of email records and suffered from no email connectivity on our standard Romancing the Mouse email accounts. As you might imagine, this is a nearnightmare scenario for a business that is primary email-based.
After many frantic days & nights, I have managed to recover 98% of our email history and the dam has burst as I have received 600+ emails this morning. From your perspective, we may have been unresponsive for the last 2 weeks and, unfortunately, it will likely take some time to sort thru this backlog placing the correct priority to any reservation requests. I am taking some vacation days from my day job (IBM) to try to work off the backlog.
If you have a reservation, everything is still intact, but I apologize if we have ignored you clarifying questions.
If you have submitted an Reservation Request, and are still interested, we will be going thru the emails to ensure our first come, first served policy is in place and will be responding as quickly as we can.
If you have have submitted a Reservation Request and given up on us in frustration and made other arrangements for lodging, we certainly apologize and understand, but please let us know so we can resolve any conflicting reservations.
If you have submitted an inquiry, please chack our on-line availability calendar and out websites PRICING page at
www.romancingthemouse.com in order to get the anwer to most of your questions and we will respond as quickly as we can.
I am sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused and we will do our best to work off this issue.
