Since we will be getting in so late our first night, we won't be using any credits that day. We won't have time to use a TS dinner on our departing day. We can either use our four credits for dinners and one for breakfast (probably at 1900 Park Fare) or use two credits for dinner at the Yachtsman Steakhouse and just eat breakfast our departing day in our villa.

Are the steaks at Yachtsman Steakhouse worth using two credits?

They are to us, others will come along and say absolutely not.

We never miss dining at Yachtsman for the steaks and we have never been disappointed in the food or service. Maybe we are blessed by the Food and Service pixie because we have eaten here every year since the restaurant opened and always had great food and wonderful service.

Truly if I got the food and service that some complain about here, I would feel I must be cursed and never go back to WDW again. But that has not been the case for us.

We really enjoy Yachtsman!! We've been two years in a row and had a great time. My only "complaint" is that they change their menu too often. In Dec 2005 I had wonderful, yummy lobster tails and my DH had bison. We were both looking forward to trying again in Dec 2006 but neither was on the menu. The server said they update 3-4 times a year?!?!?!?!

So in Dec 2006 we both had steaks!!! YUMMY!!!!

Also their lobster bisque is to die for!!!! A must try!!

Also, the creme brulee is also amazing!!!

Have a great time!:thumbsup2

We ate there and at CG on our trip last September- and while I liked the CG better overall, I'd say the steak I had at Yachtsman was probably the best I've ever had anywhere. Delicious and definitely worth the 2 credits, IMHO.

We love Yachtsman Steakhouse! We go to WDW at least once per year and we never miss dinner at The Yachtman. Our kids love their meals and our steaks are always excellent! Service has always been exceptional.

Good luck with your decision!

We went in Sept. and the steaks are great! (All 3 adults had 1; my DH had the porterhouse and it was BIG.....)

We love eating at the Yachtsman....great food, great service! If you want a great steak and not concerned as much about location, then I would go to LeCellier as a back-up (1 TS credit).

LeCellier is a must for every trip, already have that one night! :)

I'm going to go ahead and plan on Yachtsman. We're picky/basic food eaters, don't really like all the fancy stuff! From looking at their menu, we won't have a hard time finding something everyone will like.

Thanks for the feedback everybody! :)

I enjoyed my DDP meal there very much.

They had a lovely dessert sampler that was delicious (tiny little key lime tart thing, especially!)
