Need opinions- Atlantic City trip

Ok, so I'm going to AC this weekend with a friend. He's a big time poker player so we're going to a few different casinos and night clubs. I need some suggestions on what to wear. The places we are going to I heard have dress codes? What would you wear to the clubs in AC?

Where are you going? Dress code/expectations can vary greatly depending on where you are going

You can wear whatever you want. I've seen everything when we've gone to AC. "Casual nice" is fine and if you are going to the nightclubs, you can vamp it up a bit - but seriously, wear what you want, no-one will bat an eye.

Hi, we go to A/C often, never go to "clubs" (too old..haha) but I've seen how people dress, few questions:
1. How old are you?
2. when you say "clubs" you do mean clubs like "DUSK" @ Caesars, not "Bars" like Blue Martini @ Ballys - because there is a BIG difference.

I would say, first off if your in your 20's/early 30's - VAMP IT UP, the clubs are full of high (and I do mean HIGH) heels, and SHORT dresses, Lots of Glam.. now the "Bars" anything goes, def. more casual.

If your older than 30's... stay away from the clubs, you will stick out like a sore thumb no matter how your dressed, very young crowd.

Feel free to ask any questions about a/c, know the place like the back of my hand...

Thanks for the replies...I'm 28, we are staying at the Taj, so of course we're going to Casbah but we also plan on going to MIXX, Providence and Dusk. That's as far as clubs go, but we'll also be doing the casino thing cuz he plays poker and I know absolutely NOTHING about gambling or casinos, so I'm at a loss there.

Short dress/High heels - you'll be fine! Have a great time, while he's gambling, hit the outlets (right outside of Caesars) you'll have to walk down or the Forum shops!! Outlet have great deals, Forum Shops nice to look at! on the walk down, hit the beach bars!!! one piece of advice, don't walk the boardwalk alone at night, kind of seedy...

Thanks for the tip on the outlets, I love to shop! This may sound stupid, but is the boardwalk by the beach? I didn't realize how close the beach was to AC.

LMFAO!!!!! Yes the beach is right on the other side of the boardwalk!! Hotels on one side of BW, sand and water on the other.... If the weather is nice, hit the beach..

Um ok, this got ugly! I was talking to a friend at work about my trip and how excited I am and this other lady in our office makes a comment that really threw me off guard. Here is the conversation, basically:

W1- what are you doing after work today?
Me- I'm going to look in my closet and see if I have anything to wear this weekend, if not I'm gonna hit up the mall and try and find something.
W1- oh, for your AC trip?
Me- yeah, I can't wait...I want to find a couple of really cute outfits to wear, you know I never get to really dress up around here!
W1- Well good luck, make sure you either bring in the outfits or at least pics so we can see how hot they are! LOl
Me- of course I'm gonna show you guys, I def need your opinions
W2- (halfway through the conversation) What are you doing this weekend that you need to go shopping for?
Me- I'm going to AC with a friend of mine
W2- Well what are you doing up there?
Me- IDK sightseeing, going clubbing and going to some casinos
W2- o really, who are you going with?
Me- a friend of mine, he plays poker and asked me to join him for the weekend, he's treating me as a late b-day present
W2- So, what are like an escort now!?!?!
Me- excuse me?
W2- You know the only time young girls go to casinos and clubs with men they aren't married to HAVE to be escorts! And even if you're not, EVERYONE that you meet up there will assume that you are!
Me- ooookay, well I'm def not an escort, we have been friends since childhood
W2- are you going to be sharing a room?
Me- It's really none of your business but yes we will
W2- Escort! (and then stomps away!)

Ah tell the old bag to mind her own business!! Years ago at work I got a beautiful vase of roses from a friend. This old bitty at work muttered under her breath "well, we all know what you did to get those flowers." I said "no actually when you're young and cute, guys just send you roses for no reason." Just to shut her jealous butt up, didn't actauuly think I was all that cute but wanted her to knwo I heard her hateful comment.
