Thanks in advance for your opinions..
We just bought a new house in a different state. Unfortunately we've had to replace the dishwasher and garbage disposal and now we've come to the conclusion that we need to soon replace the microwave/oven combo and the cook top. (they are 15 years old and not working well).
Anyhow-- my question is about appliances and real estate. I am hoping we won't have to move again soon.. but you never really know. I LOVE to cook and am considering splurging a bit. I am not buying top of the line viking or anything--but think I might get an oven with a convection feature (so you can cook more than one thing at a time because we have a small oven) and a nice cook top with high powered burners (we are stuck with electric). I am leaning towards Kitchen Aid/Jenn Air over the other brands like Maytag and GE etc..
When looking at a home- do you look at the brand and features on the appliances? I know I do, but I love to cook-- so I am not sure about anyone else. When we sold our old house we had replaced the appliances with Kitchen Aid and I think it helped? But then again, I am not sure. I know I didn't regret splurging at the last house
Anyhow--what do you think?
thanks!
