My family is on the free DP - not picky at all - love food of all kinds. DH, me, 3 kids; ages 6 -12.

So far we have:

dinner:

Le Cellier
Coral Reef
O'Hana
Spoodles
Kona
Crystal Palace (love Pooh Bear)

Breakfast:

Boma

I need one more dinner reservation. I was thinking San Angelo, Teppan Edo, Mirakesh (spell?) or Tutta Italia.

Any suggestions would be appreciated! TIA!

Who is "we"? Where are you staying? Do you want the Fantasmic package? Are you on the Dining Plan? Should it be 1TS or is 2TS an option?

We wouldn't go to San Angel because we don't like Mexican (and it has gotten some really bad reviews) and have not tried your other thoughts. What about Biergarten in Germany at Epcot or Whispering Canyon Cafe at the Wilderness Lodge?

If you like Italian, I've been reading good things about Tutto Italia!

We is me, DH, 3 kids, ages 6, 9, and 12 (eats like a grown man). We are on free DP, staying at AKL. 1 TS per meal. Thanks! :)

Not sure we can get a reservation for the Fantasmic package, but would be willing to check.

Thanks all!

Actually, I'd suggest Boma for dinner. It'll be different from breakfast and is an excellent meal. It could also be really nice to eat "at home". Besides the "eats like grown man" in the family will certainly get his fill there! We really loved dinner there and will have breakfast there this time. Had we kept our ressie at AKL we probably would have done both meals there.

As for a Fantasmic package your choices are Mama Melrose or Hollywood & Vine. Both have fans and naysayers on these boards, so I would either decide by saying buffet or not or just looking at the menu and seeing what appeals. My family was content with the buffet at Hollywood & Vine, we value variety and Mama Melrose didn't offer enough for us. The value of the package is if you want to see Fantasmic and minimize your waiting in line time this is a big help. We appreciated the convenience, but it isn't something that everyone values. Keep in mind your dinner ADR for the package will likely be before 5pm. I thought it was too early, but it ended up OK for us. I probably would not allow the kids to get on the Tower of Terror between dinner and the show though. :rotfl:

Teppan Edo for sure. It is a must do for us every trip.
It is a beautiful restaurant, the service is good and the food is great. The chef entertains as he cooks your meal on the grill in your table. I think your kids will love this. The tables are for 8, so there may be others seated with you. We have met some nice folks this way.
Have a Great Trip

I would agree about Boma for dinner. We ate there last in March and it was waaaay better than we remember.

You're lucky your kids are not picky eaters. I'm also throwing in another vote for Biergarten. My picky 4-year-old ate one piece of bread the whole night, but she LOVED the band and danced, danced, danced!!
