Need Nook Help!

ok, so i have a nook, and my local library has e-books available...how do i d'l them? the website was absolutely no help. it only talks about reading the books via computer. the books are in epub format-do i need to d'l ADE? how do i get it from the computer to my nook? just sideload? someone please help this technically challenged mom!

Okay Im a new nook owner as well. I managed to get a library book on mine without any help from my computer geek husband.

You have to download the ADE first and make a log in.

Next when it's time to download the book will go into your ADE.

You will have to sideload to the nook. You click and drag the book to the nook option listed on the ADE menu after the nook is plugged on the side. (Think like getting a song in Itunes to your ipod if you have that)

Supposedly you can do it all on your nook using the internet option on the nook but I didn't get that to work.

Our libary's website was totally useless, too. Somehow I figured it out and it works.

Like Tina said, you have to download and install ADE to your computer. Then when you download the book from your library, choose for it to be opened in ADE.

When I tried to download my first library book I had a problem with the book not opening on my nook. The book was there, it just wouldn't open. If that happens, post again and I'll walk you through how to fix it.

I've downloaded about 6 books from the library so far. I am loving it!

thanks, ladies your posts were SO much more helpful than my library's website! i'll give this a try tomorrow-we got in from basketball practice VERY late, and have a relative visiting from texas.
