Hello - I am looking at a resale that has 400 points in reservation status. From what I read that means that can't be used at DVC but could be traded out. Can anyone tell me what 400 points would get me at a resort on Cape Cod, NH or NY state? (With the money going to the resale - can't do 4 plane tickets to use the points at a hotel in Disney this year!)

I do have a call into the Timeshare Store for more details but while I'm waiting for a call back I thought I would check with the wealth of knowledge here since it could be "sale pending" before I even blink!

Thanks so much!!

Reservation points are DVC points that were converted for a non-DVC reservation. They cannot be converted back to regular DVC points.

Reservation points can be used for the Disney collection or Concierge collection. I don't think they're used for World Passport since that requires a deposit of a DVC reservation. They can probably be used for the Adventurer's collection but that's outside your criteria.

The Disney collection is Disney hotels, Disneyland, Disneyland Paris, and the Cruise line, so that's outside your criteria.

That leaves just the Concierge collection which currently lists 29 resorts. In the NE, you only have the following. All point ranges shown are based on room type and dates.

Boston Harbor Hotel, Boston , 60 - 77 pts/night
The Equinox, Manchester Village VT, 36 - 69 pts/night
Juniper Hill Inn, Windsor VT, 20 - 32 pts/night
The Plaza Hotel, New York City, 51 - 98 pts/night
The Sagamore, Lake George, NY, 27 - 51 pts/night
Shelburne Murray Hill, New York City, 41 - 52 pts/night
Topnotch at Stowe, Stowe VT, 24 - 46 pts/night

There is a $95 non-refundable transaction fee per confirmed reservation.

You cannot book and travel on a Concierge Collection vacation within the last 60 days of your Use Year.

You can probably scratch The Plaza off the list. They are closing to remodel as condos (and a smaller hotel) at the end of April.

400 points is an awful lot to have in reservation status.
