Need Magic Express Logistics Advice

Here's the situation:

We will be arriving at BCV using ME. Later, we will be checking out of BCV and renting a car near downtown Disney to drive to VB (DH has Hertz points for a free weekly rental but only place with a car available was near DD, not the airport. Additionally, we have to return it to DD area as airport return wasn't available.)

Question is about the return. I was hoping to pick up a return trip to the airport via ME at SSR since it is close to DD. CM at MS told me this wasn't possible. Is this info correct?

If that is the case, does anyone have advice on the cheapest way to get from DD area to the airport for a party of 7?

I believe you must be staying at a WDW resort to take advantage of ME. Since you wouldn't be spending that last night at SSR (or any other WDW on site resort), you can't use ME.

I'd keep trying to change the reservation to return the car at the airport.

Seems odd that an airport retun is "not available". I could see them charging you extra to return it to the airport, but the extra charge would probably be less than any other way to get from DD to the airport. Have you tried calling and asking Hertz what they would charge if you just returned your car to the airport? Maybe the Hertz rep will just change your reservation for you.
