Need Kitten Names

[Tigger&Belle]

We got new kittens a couple of weeks ago. The female came with the name Venus and the male Apollo. She is a dilute calico/tortie--basically grey with some light orange and white. He is a buff and white tabby. My DH wants to keep the names, but I'm not so sure they are working for me. LOL She does look like a goddess (Venus is the goddess of love) and he is orangish (Apollo is the god of the sun), but I'm just not crazy about the names.

Our other animals have Disney names. Our cats are Tigger and Belle and our dogs Magic (we were waiting to get a dog until after our first WDW trip almost 8 years ago so named him Magic after the MK...also his tail looks like a magic wand) and Sheena (she came to us named, but there was a Sheena show or movie filmed at WDW, according to my sister).

Anyway, my DH is not crazy about Disney names, so if it was Disney it would need to be a bit subtle. Or it can be something other than Disney.

One possible name that suits her is Cleopatra because of the saw she looks and acts 9and we could call her Cleo). But don't what I'd name her brother (I know that the real Cleapatra had a brother, but I'd need to be able to pronounce our kitten's name.

So, any ideas? If my DH gets his way they'll keep their current names, so I need good alternatives!

You could always use Cleo and Figaro (the goldfish and cat in Pinocchio) or Marie and Toulouse (two of the kittens in Aristocats). Possibly even Simba and Nala? Have fun with them!

I've always wanted to get two cats and name them "Kit" and "Kat". Get it? Kit Kat!!!

I was looking through Disney names and also came up with Cleo and Figaro.

My sister almost named her cat KitKat--she's been going with food names.

We call our one cat Marco Polo (even though it's a "she") because she is forever exploring everything. Our other cat is Molly McButter -- she's a huge brown and black striped cat that requires a forklift to get her into our laps. She came that way from the shelter... we're struggling to get her on a diet to lose the tonnage.

My cat's name is Sassy. She was named after the cat in Homeward Bound. My grandma's cat is named Kitty. We couldn't think of a name for her and my brother wanted to name her Rattlesnake. We took her to the vets and that morning we had decided to call her Kitty (she was a stray and we took her to the vets to get her shots and make sure she was spayed before releasing her back into the wild). Someone asked me what the cat's name was and I said Kitty and the person said yeah, your cat, whats her name. And we went back and forth like this for a while until I finally said "My cat's name is Kitty."

We just got a kitten 2 weeks ago and she's a calico so we named her Cali. She's adorable - mostly white but down her back she has patches of black and tan and her head and tail are mostly black and tan. She's hard to describe and I don't think I did her justice but she's adorable. We got our first cat about a year ago and he's mostly black with a little white on his belly and under his chin. His name is Pedro. Good luck!

my cat is named Cleo, but not for Cleopatra, I always have to go with the cheesy name, its short for Cleo"cat"ra

Cleo suits her very well!
