My little cousin did the same thing with his Nano. You have to connect it to the computer that you originally have the account on and restore it to the factory settings. This will clear everything out-including the lock-and then you can add your songs/games back on again. The Apple store can't help you because you have to be able to to connect to the original Itunes account.
Thanks, thats what I thought. Unfortunately she's out of town and wanted to use it on her flight home tomorrow. Oh well, guess she'll have to read a book, lol.
