Hello all,

My husband and I are planning our next Florida panhandle vacation and considering the Club Intrawest property in Sandestin, FL. I checked out the website, but it just didn't help me get a good feel for the resort. Have any of you stayed there? What did you think? Good for kids - will be age 1 1/2 and 3 1/2 when we go?

The Destin/Sandestin/Fort Walton area could be considered our second home (before DVC), and we love it. We have been vacationing there for nearly 17 years - Henderson Park Inn (honeymoon and anniversaries) and Sandestin Beach Hilton (when attending my father's pharmacy conventions). But both of those properties are right on the ocean. Club Intrawest is bay side. We may be too spoiled to stay anywhere else.

I am just unsure what to do, and I am really hoping you can help me decide. This would be easy if the Henderson Park Inn were on the DVC list - E-mail campaign to start soon. Seriously though, if you all ever stay there you'll know why we love it so much and want it DVC to consider! Anyway, do check it out - http://www.hendersonparkinn.com It's couples only, has free happy hour every day, whirlpool tubs, beautiful room, private beach... Love is in the air there :love2: but I digress...

Thanks so much for your help with this. I anxiously await your reponses.

rent your points and make a cash reservation with them - then you get what you want.

Good point. And you're probably right. I know the places I love in Destin, and I can still stay there if I rent out next year's points. This year was my first experience renting out my points, and I had three folks work with me total - all positive experiences. Thanks for the advice.

Wow Char ... the Henderson Park Inn is GORGEOUS. If I can ever pry myself away from Disney, maybe we'll go there. Thanks so much for sharing it with us!

I doubt Disney would add the Inn to it's list since it's an adult only lodging, no children allowed.
