Yeah, we were not impressed with our room at Adventura, I will explain soon!

That's a great deal! Wish Disney would do something like that!

It really is! Saving $30 per card is a great deal and I also got my AP discount at each Mardi Gras booth!

I have to say PB is my favorite between Royal Pacific and PB, we have not stayed at Hard Rock yet.

Such a great perk.

The EP is amazing and such a nice perk compared to Disney’s 30 minute early entry and very limited extra evening hours for deluxe resorts!

Plus the Uni AP, compared to Disney, is practically free.

This is very true it is 1/3 of Disney AP and I have the preferred one at Universal

It was such a wonderful room and location. I love PB, it is my favorite Premier Resort! I don’t know what it is about ET I love that ride!!
I really didn’t do a great job with pictures at Universal this time, thank goodness I have enough to piece together the days haha! since I didn’t take notes either, shame on me!
I thought about you when Inwas eating some tootsie rolls this weekend!

It was a really nice room and location. I am a huge Harry Potter nerd and once the parks had 2 HP areas I was sold! It is a fun experience over there much different than Disney but also similar in some ways!

It wasn’t really crowded except for the parade time! I can imagine New Orleans during Mardi Gras it must be very crowded

The pizza at Sals is very good! I’m excited to try Pizza Moon in Epic, it sounds like it is really good

Love the boat transportation I love walking and the boats so staying at the value resorts at USO is much less appealing. I don’t enjoy entering through CityWalk at all!

I completely agree with F and G being the best festival. Epcot is just so beautiful. I love the Behind the Seeds tour. We did it as a family back in 2015 but I would happily do it again one day.

I can’t wait to try more bread pudding in a week and a half! Yay!

It’s a Stoo-pendous day, well most of it!

It was Friday 3/7/25. We had a wonderful quiet night at PB.

We had some yogurt and a breakfast bar before heading out to the boat launch. It was a beautiful day! A little chilly this morning. Our plan was to head into Islands of Adventure (IOA). We didn’t plan on riding Hagrid’s or Velocicoaster so we did not need to rush.

We were passing by Seuss Landing a little before 9am.

This is where I found the cute little sign with stoo-pendous on it.

We rode Cat in the Hat, IOA’s version of a dark ride, think WtP ride on steroids, haha It was a fun ride and of course this area of the park was very quiet, everyone was in Hogsmeade for the Hagrid ride.

We also rode the Seuss Trolley, again think People Mover at Disney. I really like this ride and you get a great view of IOA and the big coasters. Here is Velocicoaster and the Hulk coaster.


We slowly walked into Hogsmeade to look around and took a picture of the Hogwarts Castle before moving on.

Next, we rode King Kong. I really like this ride. It is always a treat when you get to sit in the last seat on the right. You get a great view of the big King Kong animatronic. I didn’t this time. I was in the middle boo


We spent some time in the year round Halloween store before checking out the passholder lounge.



I think it had just opened. It really just has discount merchandise and Coca Cola products. I wanted to pick up my pin. The TM was really nice and gave D a pin too even though she isn’t an AP holder.

Our plan was to ride Spider-Man next then take the HP Hogwarts Express train to US, however the train was down, ugh I teased D because the last time we were here the train was down the whole trip. I said it must be her fault, haha

We rode Spider-Man, which I love one of my favorite rides at IOA!

We walked over to US from IOA, the walk is not long at all, it is just more fun to be on a ride when moving from park to park. HP Hogwarts Express is a fun train ride which runs between both parks. We hoped the train would be running again soon.

We went into US and decided to hit up a couple more food booths for Mardi Gras. I had made us a Toothsome’s reservation for around 5pm so we didn’t want to eat much.

We decided on a twisted tater Cajun seasoned potato, Creole remoulade sauce, and herbs.

This was delicious.

We also shared some beignets and a Hurricane Punch.

I paid for everything with the gift card I had purchased yesterday. I also got an AP discount.

This is when tragedy struck. I noticed I only had one gift card in my wallet! I searched every little spot in my tiny wallet, (it basically is just a card holder with one zipped pocket) so after several checks and separating my other cards I knew it wasn’t there. I checked my HP crossbody bag inside and out! Oh my goodness it was no where to be found! I had paid $120 for it and it had $150 on it. Needless to say this did put a damper on our delicious food.

I had my receipt and decided to check with Guest Services to see if they could help. I was sure no one would turn it in to lost and found but you never know.

I went in to plead my case. First they checked with lost and found and nothing, the TM did take my receipt looked at it and said wait here. Well, we waited about 20 minutes and she came back with a new card with the $150 on it! Wow I was really happy. She canceled the other one in case someone tried to use it and gave me the new one! I thanked her many times and I felt so much better! I honestly to this day don’t know what happened to it!

I wondered if it had fell to the ground when I put the 2 cards in my wallet? It seems odd because I think I would have noticed this. We also checked the room top to bottom and no card.

Crisis adverted! I was very thankful to the TM. She didn’t have to do anything!

Once we left GS, we decided to ride a few more favorites! ET,

MIB, Minions Mayhem, tilt a hurl in Simpson’s land,

troll rollercoaster, and a walk around the dream works area.



Soon it was time to head out to our dinner reservations.

We checked in at Toothsome’s restaurant and looked around the bakery/candy cases. We saw Penelope and Jacques as we waited. Penelope is the owner of the Chocolate Factory and Jacques is her robot.

They are both very nice and posed for some pictures.

We were seated upstairs at a 2 top table. We decided to have a cocktail. I’m not a bourbon fan and most all drinks were bourbon cocktails. The waitress told me about a peach martini. I went for it and D got a dirty martini.


The drinks were really good We decided to share a bacon cheeseburger with fries so we could have dessert.

The burger and fries were delicious We both knew what dessert we wanted. The famous and delicious May contain Nuts! This is peanut butter ice cream, peanut brittle, Reese’s peanut butter cups, chocolate peanut butter pie and whipped cream!

This dessert is heavenly delicious especially if you love chocolate and peanuts. D and I had shared this before several years ago and knew we had to have it again!

We finished up and rolled on out of there. We decided to do a little shopping on Citywalk before heading back to our resort. The long trip with very few breaks from park hopping was catching up with us. We relaxed in the room and watched TV before calling it a night.

Stay tuned for our last full day and our final hotel move!

So happy they were able to issue you a replacement gift card. I’m sure you were anxious while you waited. Another great day at Universal. That dessert looks amazing! I would love to eat that

I may have gone into a sugar coma just from the dessert description and picture. But yumm!!!! Sounds like a full day at US. And I'm so glad you got your gift card re-issued. My mom got me 2 GC's for Disney (one for my birthday and one for my "new" job) and I literally just checked to be sure they were both still in my wallet!
