I went on a Carnival Cruise back in Sept out of the Port Of Miami. And Having a fear of heights, I didn't do well boarding the ship:guilty:. But I'm almost willing to try another cruise, only this time out of the Port Canaveral. Is PC the same as PM?? All glass and open??.. Photo of Embarking(walkway), would be very helpful. TIA I would love to see the Disney Ships.

Unfortunately, the gangway is 20-30 feet up from the pier and water. However it is enclosed all the way to the ship. The walls are glass though.

Thanks for the photo:). Have you ever been to the Port of Miami. The whole thing is Glass(floors, side walls), they say they want you to feel like you floating to your ship (),not me. From the time you drop off your luggage, you go into a normal terminal and no problems, until you get to the WALK WAY then It is very high from the level you were just on. And it's all glass until you get to the Canaveral ship:guilty:.

So I figured if it's just a little bite(approx 20ft) of a walk to the ship and the main walk way if it's very close and half covered , I think I could board( this time with out getting sick).

BUT I wish I could find a video of someone Embarking on a Disney Cruise out of Port Canaveral , so I could really see what it's like.Yes it's sad to say I AM A CHICKEN.

I've seen video of people getting on the Magic before. Just search youtube and you may find it. Good luck! I think you will do much better since the floor is not glass. :goodvibes

YIPPEE:banana::yay::cheer2:, THANK YOU !!!!! Sissy ib

Looks like I get to go on a DISNEY CRUISE:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
It looks like as long a one side of the walk way is blocked I get to go.
From the video, on left side and second video on right side, my vision would be blocked.

Here is an interior pic of the walkway (gangway) that was posted in post #2. This is just about boarding the ship.....it is green glass on both sides....it is only a short walk and if you look ahead and not to the sides you should be fine.

The walls are clear, but it's a solid floor. Keep your eyes focused ahead on the ship or down at the floor and you'll be fine.
