Can anyone provide me with additional information on this ride? I would like to know how it compares to any of the other roller coasters at Disney World.

thanks!!!

It is definitely more intense than any of the other roller coaster type rides at WDW. It really awesome! You go from 0 to 60 in no time flat then you blast threw this dark room with neon street signs and stuff (the concept is that you're rushing to get backstage for an Aerosmith concert). The soundtrack is great (provided by Aerosmith of course) and it's the singles that everyone knows. You can't help but smile the whole ride. Definitely one that is not to be missed!

Never been on a roller coaster until our trip a few years ago; (chickened out the previous time). Took a chance on RnR and really enjoyed it. You are really secured in your seat and the acceleration is a blast. Now it's something I look forward to. Give it a try.

Rock 'n' Roller Coaster is much, much, MUCH more intense than the other coasters of WDW. Unlike Space Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, it goes upside down and 0-60 mph in seconds. It's indoors but is not completely dark like SM...there are various "sets"/"props" (i.e. a giant donut and roadsigns) that accompany the ride - black lights make them glow. In my opinion, it's the best ride at WDW. No other ride offers the same experience, not even the other roller coasters. The next ride that even comes close is ToT (for me, anyway).

I loved this ride! If I had "seen" it tho, I probably wouldn't have gone on it. I actually thought it was a simulator till I got in there. I was going to chicken out, but didn't and I sure am glad! I can't wait to ride it again!!!!

Does anyone know tho if there is an actual picture of the track layout? I'd love to see it!

Thanks!!

OMG! I can't believe I went on that! LOL
See...if I had seen it, there is no way I would've gotten 100 yards of it....now that I rode it, I can't wait to get back on! LOL
Wait till I show the kids!!
Thanks so much for the link!

Besides being cleverly themed, RNRC has the most amazing launch I've ever experienced! It literally pulls the breath right out of your lungs!;) It's far more intense than BTMRR and much, much smoother than Space Mountain. The inversions go by so fast, you hardly realize you've just been upside down. The one thing that can be unnerving for a person who is a little roller coaster shy is the fact that while in the queue, you watch the cars as they launch. I imagine alot of people hit the chicken doors once they see that. But don't leave - it's so worth the ride!:D

Thanks for those photos wdwguide! They are awesome! I'm a 40 something Mom and my kids and I ride this coaster several times on each visit. We love it.

My tip is to be sure and keep your head pressed against the back of the headrest. Otherwise that fast start can snap your head back pretty hard.

Does anyone know if if the front or back of this ride is the smoothest?

Front is a lot smoother. When I went the first week of June, I rode in the front and the next-to-last row. In the front, I experienced no to minimal head-banging. In the back, my head hit the restraint so many times I had a headache when I got off.

Plus, in the front, the launch is better and you can see better. :D
