need info on rentng points

If I have points that must be used by 5/31/02,
can I transfer these points to another dvc member's acct?
(they were banked points)

If not,I can rent them, but must ask for money in hand first?

How do you go about renting/reserving/collecting the money from this type of request?

call member services for avail, then tell the prospective customer, ask for the $, then on recpt make the reserv? What if the room is then not avail? (2-4 day turnover) You cant make the reserv, then wait for the $$$?

Banked points may not be transferred to another member. The other questions are up to you. You may ask for payment in advance. If you are making a reservation within 30 days, you probably should have advance payment- but if these points will expire on May 31- you don't have a lot of options anyway- so the payment situation doesn't make a lot of difference in this case. If you wait for paymentm the room may not be available when it arrives. At this point you are competing with CRO cash reservations since it is within 60 days.

If the points are current (not banked) points, why not use see if MS will allow you to bank them this one time.
