Need Ideas for Western

What are some things to do on your own on the Western??

I don't really want to spend the $$$ for excursions.. but would like some ideas on places to go on your own.

excursions really add up ....in fact, on our upcoming 7-night Western in May, I am taking my first excursion (Captain Marvin Stingray City Tour) in 8 DCL cruises.....Just couldnt pass it up......

1) In Coz, you can take a short walk to the shopping district...excellent shopping, especially for silver and talavera hand painted items.....some have been wary of the aggressiveness of the merchants, but it didnt bother us....your personal safety would never be threatened....

2) Key West is great to walk the streets, especially Duval...very historic...good photo ops, and plenty of bars...Sloppy Joes being the most famous....I recommend taking the conch train tour on your own...fun and worth it....

3) Cant comment on GC....on our only other Western, we were unable to dock due to weather.....
