Not sure if I should post this here, but my daughter is 10 and as much a Disney nut as I am. We will be going in August, and Iwanted to know if anyone had ideas about something special we could do one afternoon together while Dad and my son did their thing. We like to do just about everything and I am always up for new ideas. WE will be there for one week, and we are staying at the Beach Club. Thanks in advance! I will post this on the other boards as well.

How about going to the GF Spa or the Spa at Saratoga Springs and get manicures and pedicures.

Also, I believe there is a tea party at the GF also

I was also going to suggest doing the spa at GF and time it so you can have afternoon tea at the GF after.

Another thing, since she's older, is to get all dolled up and doing a nice dinner someplace. Or plan on a decent early lunch and then dessert your way around Epcot or the resorts for dinner!!!

We did a grandma, mom and daughter trip 2 years in a row, last year I had my youngest with me too. We have a blast on those trips. The year we had just my oldest daughter, we got all prettied up and had a wonderful dinner and desserts at the Yachtsman and then went and saw La Noumba, then we wandered around DD and shopped til we dropped.

Tea at the Grand Floridian. :)

Or maybe start with a late seating at the Princess Breakfast in Norway, then spend the day shopping in Epcot. Any combination of food and shopping sounds great to me! ;)

My daughter is 9 and not the "get dressed up" type. She enjoyed the day the 2 of us went around World Showcase making her mask. We started with lunch, then worked our way around, also catching some of the shows. At each stop I took her picture with a cast member, then we combed the shops for a hat representative of that country and took her picture in it. Some of the CMs were so fun. The one working in Italy took down a mask for her to use in the picture. She loved it and wanted to buy it, but I about croaked when I saw the $100 price tag! This was also when she used her Disney Dollars to purchase souvenirs from her favorite countries.
