I work in an elementary school library and we are having Spirit Week this week. We've done Stripes Day, Opposite Day, Monochromatic Day (everyone all dressed in black - what a sight!) and today was Pajama Day. Those were no problem, but tomorrow is "Dress Like a Celebrity" Day and I don't know what to do.

I'd like to use stuff around the house to keep it simple and inexpensive. The only thing I've come up with so far is wearing a Cat in the Hat striped hat. Not very exciting or original. Any ideas??

BTW the staff is having as much fun with this as the kids!!

If you just want to use some stuff from around the house, you could probably put together some sort of Lady Gaga outfit, since that seems to be the slop she puts on.

Of course Lady Gaga would probably be a little inappropriate as well.

ETA: Do you have any access to sports uniforms or anything? You could easily be the athlete of your choice.

How about your Mickey ears and a Disney shirt? Isn't Mickey a celebrity?

Depends on your gender, age, race, etc.

You could be the country's most famous librarian - Laura Bush. Conservative dress, necklace, and bob.

They had this at my son's school. They won't be doing it again. It was too difficult. I mean, except for the outlandish celebrities, how do you do that?

boy or girl? living celeb or ANY celeb? If boy, a hoodie and comb his hair forward. some white or purple sunglasses..instant Justin Bieber

if girl, Sue Sylvester from Glee, lol...red track suit..mega horn

If you are blonde you could be Angela from the office, skirt, cardigan, sensible shoes and carry a stuffed cat :) A lot of teachers at my school did this

Like the Sue Sylvester and Mickey/Minnie ideas too!

sundress and cowboy boots - Taylor Swift

Cooking stuff: Rachel Ray or Paula Deen

Sports: soccer: Mia Hamm, tennis star etc.
Movie stars: Twilight etc

I think book characters are so much easier

My first thought was Pam from the office. Wouldn't be too hard. But you'd have to do Pam from the early seasons or else people might not know who you were :rotfl:.

Laura Ingalls Wilder - Prairie dress and hat. Easy if you have anything like it.

White halter dress = Marilyn Monroe

Here's the best: Baggy jeans, plaid button-down shirt, hair slightly messy, tennis shoes. You can be Roseanne!
