Need a good idea for my sister for christmas gift. She is the type of person who NEVER buys anything for herself that is not total budget stuff, so I like to spoil her for Christmas/B-days. I always try to get her something that she would never buy for herself.

I've already done-Coach Bags/wallets, Dooney Bag, Maui Jim Sunglasses, last year's awesome find was a Coach leather jacket which she loved (and it wasn't even that $$, outlet/coupons) Usual budget is 2-300. Anyone have any great ideas I can do? Not spa ideas, she is not wild about them. She doesn't wear dress clothes for work or jewelry so that type of stuff is out.

Help!! Hate to repeat the same stuff over and over!!

How about a Pandora Bracelet??

You can get her a starter bracelet and a few charms.. then over time she can add to it.. for birthdays, etc.

(oops.. just re-read your post and you said she is not into jewelry.... oh, well! :) )

My sister is like this, too. This year she's been looking a bit tired and drained, so I bought her a full set of Gatineau skincare - the whole works, CT and M, Eye Cream, etc., for her birthday (it was a big one!) from QVC.

She was wary about spending the time on herself, although delighted as she would never ever spend money on this for herself. I speak to her everyday, so it was easy to ask, "did you use your eye cream" "have you done your facial?", and you should see the difference! I don't know if it was just starting a regular routine, or if it is the brand she's using, but she looks about 5 years younger! She loves it, it's cheered her up to see the fine lines diminishing, and I've now got something to buy her every b'day Christmas etc.!

The other idea if you think this is a nono, is a Digital Frame, you could fill it just with pictures of the two of you as you grew up (and other siblings too if you have any), and if you got one which does sound too, you could add particular favourite or memorable songs.

Good luck to you, I love my sister very much too, and know how much I enjoy buying her gifts she'll treasure.

P.S. to the PP - that's what I want for Christmas, aren't they gorgeous?

How about a manicure, nice new outfit and a super fancy dinner out with you (or her hubby)?

Would she go away for a weekend or a night with her husband to a bed and breakfast? That's always a special recharge for me. Grown up dinner, fancy quiet house and delicious gourmet breakfast with no dishes!:cool1:

Does she have a nice digital camera?

Uggs?

Does she have any special interests?

Do you ever do weekend getaways with your sister? How about a shopping weekend? Time together is a gift my sister and I give each other and we love to shop! That way she picks out exactly what she likes.

we are giving our grown up family 'romantic evening' or 'self-indulgence' baskets: big, fluffy towels, bubble bath, champagne, glasses, chocolate, candles, mood music cd's.

I think too many of us have forgotten the pure bliss of a candlelight bubble bath. :lovestruc

If she likes to read how about a Kindle? Those things look awesome!
