I need some ideas please for late lunches that will fill us up. Enough so that we don't have to do a full dinner, maybe just a snack. I would rather have a sit down as opposed to a buffet also.

Oh, and I really really dislike Sci-Fi. The food there is YUCKY YUCKY YUCKY!!!!!!

One more thing, I need an idea for:
MGM
EPCOT
MK
AK

Portions are large, prices are moderate, and the food is yummy at '50s Prime Time Cafe.

You can get a "feast" at Marrakesh that includes appetizers, a kabob and couscous -- delicious, very filling and you're entertained by a belly dancer.

And I also dislike Sci Fi. If I had known I could see what it looked like by going to the ABC Commissary's bathroom and taking a wrong turn on my way out, we wouldn't have had to eat there!

MGM - Here's another vote for 50's Prime Time

AK - Rainforest Cafe.... the portions are HUGE and the food is great

MK - although I have never been there, Liberty Tree Tavern serves family style

We liked the 50's diner at mgm.

coral reef in off hours os cool, ask for a tank side table. its in epcot.

crysal palace or cindys tble might be easy in off hours.

rainforest is fun, if you font ahve one close to you at home. if so hop the bus over to the AKL.

MK...CRT, LTT or the Plaza. LTT is not family style for lunch by the way. I like their lunch menu much better than dinner.

San Angel Inn and R&C have large filling portions.

At MGM I would choose Mama Melrose. Large, filling meals, too.

Can't help at AK.

You're right about Sci-Fi. It's a shame too because it's such a fun concept.

I would suggest Garden Grille at Epcot. It's delicious - and fun. the restaurant revolves above the Land Boat ride and characters abound! It's all you can eat and I think pretty reasonable - $15.95 I believe. They have salad (from the Land of course), mashed potatoes, catfish, steak, corn on the cob and a delicious apple cobbler for dessert.

I don't know what I would suggest at MK. We live Tony's Town Square.

MGM - we like Hollywood Brown Derby.

PamNC

For a Magic Kingdom late lunch, how about going to the Grand Floridian Tea? I think it starts at 2 PM or so and is very filling if you order one of the packages. We went late and had tea, finger sandwiches, scones and tarts, and a huge bowl of strawberries and cream. I think we just had a small snack later in the evening. My husband didn’t think this would fill him up but was surprised when it did. He liked it so much he asked me to be sure and plan it for our next trip.

These are the places we love especially for lunch.

MK- Tony's
MGM - 50's Prime Time
AK - Rainforest Cafe
Epcot- haven't found one yet

My husband will agree to go to WDW a couple times a year as long as our plans include these restaurants! We also enjoy LTT in MK.

Another vote for the Garden Grille at Epcot.

The food is served family style, so it's brought to the table. Flank steak, chicken, mashed and veggies and a great dessert. It is all you can eat, so they bring back more of anything you want.

We loved this restaurant and have it booked again for a late lunch.

When we want a filling late lunch, we always go to 50's Prime Time Cafe. It isn't as crowded, then, the food is wonderful, and filling, and we always have a great time with the "Moms and Cousins" serving the food!

At Epcot, I would recommend the Garden Grille or Le Cellier.

At the MK, try Cinderella's Royal Table for lunch.

And at AK, I would suggest Tusker House. It is counterservice, but delicious and filling, at a reasonable price!

Have a great time!:)

Because our flight is somewhat later than usual, we are not going to the parks on our first day. Our plan is to officially start vacation by eating at Beaches & Cream at BC. I think this has great "fill-up" potential because if the main course alone doesn't do it, there's always DESSERT.

We always have a filling late lunch on our last day at WDW before we fly home. Here's our favorites:

MK--Liberty Tree Tavern
Epcot--Le Cellier (Tepanyaki is another option)
AK--Haven't done it there, but Tusker House would be the only option, as Rainforest doesn't do it for us
MGM--50's PT
