So, I send a quick email to our guests about deciding whether or not to dine with us for certain events (so I can make ressies) and my aunt called me in a tizzy :faint: because she was so confused. :rotfl2:

They have 3 kids, 15 (F, juvenile diabetic), 12 (M), 6 (M)...Anyway, they are very Disney-challenged. They've been to Florida like 10 times and have NEVER taken the kids to Disney!! :scared1: oh the humanity!:confused3 She kept getting SeaWorld and Universal all mixed up with magic kingdom and told me she didn't think the boys would want to go have tea with Cinderella... :rotfl2: It was pretty cute, because she has NO idea what she's in for!! They're only staying 5 days (4 nights) and I said, "you know, you could be there for a month and still not do everything." Then she got very overwhelmed.

I told her I would come over next tuesday and we could plan a whole itinerary of fun things to do for the whole family.

So, here's where you come in! :worship: Help me figure out some things that the whole family can do together that would be fun. I obviously want to get the 6 y/o to MK and DAK, I was thinking futureworld might be fun for the teen, I don't know if she's into rides, but I want to kind of please everyone and I've never planned a family trip to WDW before... any suggestions?

Also, I want to give her some information about disney dining. They're staying at a timeshare, would they qualify? I thought you could add it to your MYW tickets, is that right? I've been browsing WDW website and its actually kind of hard to figure out.... god, i love disboards.

i dont think you can add dining to a park ticket--i think it is a package with the room/tix/dining!

i am giving some thought to your itinerary! i have 3 boys- 11,7,2. Will think of what they really like and get back to you! No girls, so cant help with that!

I would definately do a character meal-fun and great way to see characters-believe it or not my boys love the princess meals! (they may not admit it but their faces tell a different story)

The 2 oldest like to read Walt Disney for kids by kids- it is a Birnbaum book. Kids tell their favorites-- they read it alot before our 1st trip--years ago.

THANKS!!! I can't wait for them to experience it! Bummer about the dining though, I seemed to have figured that out by process of elimination as I was trying to build them tickets...

Cape May and Chef Mickey are always safe bets for character meals that aren't too girly and don't require park admission (depending on what kind of tickets they get).

Excellent ideas! We're planning a Chef Mickey's meal, but where is Cape May?

Cape May is at the Beach Club...we ate breakfast there & it was yummmmy

BTW...omg! they never took their kids to Disney!? Child Abuse! LOL

I talked to my boys after school today-- here is their input

my 11yo- favorite park EPCOT
favorite character meal -Chef Mickey
dont miss ride- space mountain

my 7yo-favorite park MK/Epcot- he couldnt chose
favorite character meal - chef Mickey
dont miss ride-Test Track

You really cant go wrong with chef mickey- all the classic characters/yummy food/fun atmosphere/ monorail rides right overhead!

hth!

In order to have the dining plan, you have to stay in a Disney resort for the duration of your trip and have to have at least one day Magic Your Way Ticket (they just changed this so annual passholders could get the dining plan).

So if they're staying somewhere else for the duration, it'd be no good.

I'd tell you what I like because I'm a big kid when I'm there, but that's probably not what you need! :rotfl:
