I'm trying to decide which studio villa to stay at. I think I narrowed it down to GFV, AKV, and BWV.. I hear GFV are really hard to get. Which would you chose?? TIA
Are you looking to rent points for a vacation or a cash reservation through Disney? If you are trying to use points GFV and BWV will be the most difficult to book. AKV has the most availability if you aren't looking for the value rooms. Also, for the first 2 be prepared to book at the 11mos. mark if using points.
That's what I did. Just trying to decide where I want to stay nowGo to David's DVC and use the points/$ calculator. You will have an exact number.
good to know, thanks. I was looking into AKV more but it seems so far away from everything. If you are renting points for November 2017, you will need to find an owner at BWV or VGF to make the reservation for you at 11 months, ideally at 8AM. Both of those resorts are such that they will book in the 11-month window, and using a broker rather than an individual will make it unlikely to get those bookings.
AKV can usually be gotten within the 11 month window up to 7 months. This year, even savannah view has been disappearing fast at 7 months, however.
Have you stayed there before? If so, how do you like it? I'm getting married in Disney so where I stay will be important.I went with a broker and had no problem getting a studio at BWV for nine nights for our Christmas trip this year. I did make sure I contacted them right at the 11 month mark though.
This will be our first trip there. We have walked around the boardwalk area before and loved how close it is to two parks. We are so excited to stay there for our next trip.Have you stayed there before? If so, how do you like it? I'm getting married in Disney so where I stay will be important.
Fun! I leave in a few weeks to check out venues, I'm going to actually look at a venue at the boardwalk inn. Hope a studio will be available when I try to book since the location is so good. This will be our first trip there. I have heard that the standard view and boardwalk view studios are extremely hard to rent with a broker so be prepared for a pool/garden view.Fun! Congratulations on your engagement!!! Have fun with all the planning.Have you stayed there before? If so, how do you like it? I'm getting married in Disney so where I stay will be important.
Christmas is after Food & Wine, though.I went with a broker and had no problem getting a studio at BWV for nine nights for our Christmas trip this year. I did make sure I contacted them right at the 11 month mark though.

BillThanks, Bill! It will be my first choice, doesn't hurt to try to get it!VGF is by far the nicest of the DVC resorts, there is a reason why the wedding pavilion is right next door.

You've convinced me! If I cannot get VGF, I'll try for BWV..do you own or rent points? We've stayed in AKV and BWV (also GF, but not VGF). AKV was lovely, but remote. BWV is AWESOME!!! For me, the view simply doesn't matter - there really isn't a bad view at BWV. The location is amazing and all of the villas have been recently refurbished. It is my absolute favorite resort on property. If you can get it, book BWV!
Rented points for a "Garden/Pool View Deluxe Studio Villa" at boardwalk, 11 months out.
