Okay I am sure hoping someone can help me .
I went to their website and found this., I will post the website so others can see too ...http://www.southwest.com/hotfares/041216_northeast_to_florida.html
How do I get the fares for 49.00 ???
Is this special only for Jan and Feb... when I enter the last date of Feb for departure it is more.
please help me this would be a steal if I could get them for 49.00
Also is there a discount on children flying with southwest.. my daughter is 6.
thanks Diane

It looks like all your travel has to be completed by February 17th. On special internet fares, children and adults pay the same rate. We flew Southwest out of Buffalo earlier this month and would do so again. It was really easy. I hope you get a good rate for your dates. :D

Sign up for their email alerts and then you'll get frequnet updates. You'll have to keep checking every day because the fares can change in a moment. Good luck.

How do I set up for internet alerts?
Also I am curious what price have ppl flown out of Buffalo swa received?
thanks Diane

I can't remember where but somewhere on the website says "sign up for email alerts"
The cheapest we have ever gone is $49 each way. Usually it averages more $59 or $69. We've also gone to LA and Vegas for $99 each way.

Keep in mind the cheapest seats might only be on certain dates or times. Unless you can catch a system wide fare which happens sometimes.

We are flying SW out of Buffalo (Again!) a week from Saturday. Non-stop flights to/from Orlando at a total cost of $115.40 US per person including all taxes. This was their $49 internet rate, plus taxes. We booked this on January 5th.

The other nice thing about Southwest is that you can book your flight, then if they drop the price, you can cancel the flight and rebook at the lower rate. You get the difference as a credit that you can use anytime for any other flight within the next year. We had 2 guys drop out of our golf trip, and I was able to cancel their flights, and rebook 2 different people using the credit. The end result was no cost to change the tickets for use by different people.

The lowest I got was $29 each way - total all in for 3 of us is $225 USD. I lucked into that via checking every day/every other day. I called and they issued me a $300 credit for use within a year of the original booking date (ie we originally booked in OCt so I have to use it by then - the price dropped just before christmas, so it's a year from the original date)

Thanks Dimoe for the Southwest info, friends of mine going in February.....

We just paid $75 US a person for our Jan21-28 trip from Buffalo to Orlando. You sure can't beat $451 for 6 people to fly. We had originally booked for $135/person but the fare went down and I changed it for the cheaper fare. I now have $360 credit with SWA - have not decided whether to get it creditted or go again next month.
