Newbie going to Disney and need some help figuring out a schedule...

Do you guys follow the advice of NOT going to the extra hour parks like the 'unofficial guide' says or what? How do you come up with a schedule. I'm not a control freak but with so much to do, seems like we need an idea of what and where and when...

Or should we just go and not worry about it?

I'm wondering the same thing. We'll be in the parks 3 days and here's what I planned:

Thurs: check in, downtown disney & dinner
Fri: Epcot
Sat: MGM
Sun: AK

Should I change the plans and to EMH's? If so, (assuming EMH's stay the same) We'd do

Thurs: Evening EMH at Epcot
Fri: MGM (no EMH)
Sat: Morning EMH AK
Sun: Check out, downtown disney

Thanks for your help! I'm lost.

It really depends on when you are going. If it's a busy season DO NOT go to the evening EMH. It gets way too crowded to enjoy. The mornings are pretty good. Don't go without some kind of idea what you what to do and see. Newcomers do not realize the size of Walt Disney World. It is not your typical amusement park in that you cannot do everything in a day or two. Keep reading these boards for ideas and information. Also check out the info on allearsnet.com and mousesaver.com.

I second that! I would stay away from the parks with EMH. We were at MK the night they had it, and it seemed like everyone staying at WDW was in there. It was all we could do to get down Main St before Wishes started. I thought we were going to be crushed. Some people say you should go to a park the day after in has evening EMH.
