Need help with pet names....

For all that don't know I am now managing an animal shelter here in CT - we handle cat and dogs, kitten and puppies, and of course rabbits and guinea pigs too! Right now I have 110 cats and 13 dogs.

Here is my quandry.....we are running out of names for them! I am really tired of reusing names over and over again. So we started a new list at the office of animal names that we can pick and choose from but we are stumped.

Can you all give me some names?

(we just did the Muppets, and Lord of the Rings, and most of the Looney Toons, plus we have some but not all of the Disney crew)

Cities and states work well (i.e. Georgia, Savannah, Cheyenne, Austin, etc.)

Also, try comic strips (lil abner, marmaduke, garfield, etc.)

My dogs are Wilma and Freddie (we used to have a Barney, too), and Lucy and Desi. I think TV show names are cute (obviously). How about characters from old favorite shows, ie. Gilligan, Skipper, Ginger, MaryAnn, Dobie, Maynard, Billi Joe, Bobbi Joe, Betty Jo, Jethro, Jed, Ellie May, McGarrett, Dano, etc. I don't know - maybe it's a stupid idea, but I think it's kind of cute.

My first Siamese cat (R.I.P.) was named Tofu, our beloved 2 year old Siamese cat that we have now is named Mushu I think those are both very appropriate names for Siamese cats.

I agree with some of the other posters, use DISer's names! I hereby officially volunteer the use of "SeaSpray" for a cute cat or dog!
