My family was at WDW last week, DS bought me a cute coffee travel mug and gave to me as a surprise gift for Mother's Day after we returned. I noticed a crack in the metal part of the cup and am afraid to use it, hot liquid might make it worse. I don't want to make DS feel bad so I didn't say anything to him.

Is there a way to exchange it via mail? The cup has the original price sticker on it intact and I have the receipt (got it out of his garbage). But don't know how to go about exchanging it. Has anyone had to do that? Thanks for any advice.

Aww, thanks Robo. First you always help with your awesome maps and now this.... :goodvibes

I'll call tomorrow.

I purchased a Disneyvision TV set for my DD in December. Since it required batteries, we were not able to try it out until we got home. I carried it on the plane so it would not get damaged in my checked bag. When we got home we installed the batteries and the darn thing did not work, Called Disney Merchandising and they said they would send us a new one if we scanned the receipt and sent it in an e-mail to them. The very helpful cast member told us we did not have to return the damaged item. We sent the scanned copy of the receipt to them and received a new Disneyvision in less than a week.

Thank you both. I called today and they are sending me a replacement mug and I don't have to send the damaged one back. So I can use the one DS gave me for now and will replace it when the new one arrives and DS will never need to know. ;)

So good to hear!
Thanks for posting a follow-up.

Thanks for posting your follow up. For some weird reason, I never thought of the possibilities of returns after getting home. Definitely will make me much more comfortable buying merchandise from the parks.

What we do is buy whatever souvenirs the kids are interested in as we see them. Then we re-evaluate over the course of the week. At the end, the kids return what they don't want to the resort store. This way I don't have to run all over the parks to look for something they saw but we're unsure about on day 1.
