Okay, we will be in DL for 3 full days.:thumbsup2 My kids are NOT big on rides, so I have not planned everything out. I am more of a "take it as it comes" vacationer. We just love to soak up the Disney atmosphere, see most of the showspopcorn:: and go on the quieter rides. DH will do the roller coasters, but the kids and I will skip them. ;) But I do have a few questions for the experts.

We will arrive at DL on Thur April 19 - late afternoon/evening. I booked Goofy's Kitchen for dinner. Then we have Fri/Sat/Sun for the parks. I have Carnation Cafe booked for 9 am breakfast Saturday, Ariel's Grotto booked for 2:10 pm lunch Sunday and Trattoria booked for 8 pm Sun (in hopes of watching ELP from there.) Also, we want to see the fireworks either Fri or Sat night.

There is EE on Sat I believe and then on Sun 4/22, DL is open from 6:30am to 4 pm. Now there is NO way I am gonna get my family up and out so early 2 days in a row - notice I have a TEENAGE daughter.... Which day would you try to go early on - Sat or Sun?

Also, how has the weather been? Will we be able to go swimming at the pool in the afternoons? I think an afternoon break would be ideal! :woohoo:

Any input would be appreciated!

Here's what I'd do:

Friday: Hit DL early. Park opens at 9:00 so get there around 8:30. Ride/see anything you want. I'd suggest starting in Adventureland if you're not into the big rides, then seeing New Orleans Square (PotC, HM) and then select rides in Critter COuntry and Frontierland. Finish you day with the fireworks.

Saturday: Since you already have a 9:00 breakfast planned, I'd go to DL for EE. Ride anything in Fantasyland and Tomorrowland during that hour. Then see Toontown and ride Roger Rabbit's Cartoon Spin. After that, I'd either take a break and go swim, reride any missed attractions from the day before, or I'd hop to DCA. You don't want to be at DL in the afternoon on a Saturday (CROWDED!) Maybe spend the afternoon/evening at DTD.

Sunday: Relax and take your time getting up. Tour DCA when it opens at 10:00. The park has several Single Rider lines for your DH if the rest of you don't want to ride (Soarin-but I recommend that you all ride it, Grizzly River Run-if its not too cold, Mulholland Madness, Maliboomer, and California Screamin)

As for weather, it should be fine. I don't think a midday break would be necessary due to weather. Maybe to just rest from waking up so early, but the weather itself is not harsh enough to warrant a midday break.

BTW, if you didn't have that Carnation Cafe res. on Saturday, I'd switch Saturday with Sunday and just forget about EE completely.

Wait is splash open now?I was so bummed to hear it was down. Is it now open??

DLR, splash is going to be down while they are there, and F! is not showing until June.

We'll be there at the same, in fact our Ariel's resos are 10 minutes after yours on Sunday.

I am going to get up early on the Sunday as I think that there will be very few people in the park that early.

Hope to see you there.

I would probably do EE on Saturday. It will give you some time before your 9 am breakfast. I would try to see the fireworks on Friday night. That way if they are canceled because of weather you can try again on Saturday night. I would spend Sunday morning doing rides in DCA. Its going to be pack on Sunday night with DL closing so early.

Hmmmm.....maybe I should switch that Carnation Cafe Ressie to Sunday at 9 am. If we go in at 6:30 am, that might be a nice time to take a break. And I agree with Mamatojade, I can't imagine that too many people will be up and at-'em at 6:30 am! Of course, it is DL!! ;)
