I believe you have to click on the regular join now link and put in your info. Somewhere along the way there is a box to put the code in. Be aware though, you will have to enter a credit card # and in turn remember to cancel the membership within 30 days. If you're joining simply to try for the presale ticket codes, good luck. I tried two different venues and both sold out of the presale tickets in seconds. With two of us on different computers we couldn't get anything but single seats. Total joke! Thank goodness I didn't waste $30 on the fan club since I had the free trial. The trial was an offer that was inside one of the hm cds. Good luck!
I would suggest getting your presale code and writing it down. The morning of presale tickets go straight to ticketmasters and have the code ready to enter. It helps also if you already have an account set up with them and you are signed in. Avoid going from Hannah's site because it just redirects you to ticketmaster but her fan site had major problems the morning our presale tickets went on sale. Be fast as they sale out fast and I would go for best available my lucky 2 friends that got tickets still got level 300 seats but at least they got seats. I missed out on presale and regular tickets.
