We have an upcoming WDW visit and booked an OKW GV. Just received a call that the one we've been assigned will be taken down for maintenance. They have given us the option of Grand Villas at Grand Floridian (accessible), Saratoga Springs and Riviera. Since we have no experience with any of those resorts, which would you choose? We need first floor or elevator for his ECV. Roll in shower is actually usually a drawback for his current condition. Any input would be much appreciated!!!! Thanking you in advance!!!! (and so excited to be exploring these options!!!!):santa:

Grand Floridian and Riviera have elevators in their buildings, so first floor entry is not an issue. They will be large enough for parking and ECV inside.
I’m not positive where the Grand Villas at Saratoga are - I’ve seen the Treehouse Villas there listed as the Saratoga Grand Villas. If so, those would be my last choice. The Treehouse Villas look really cool, but each villa is a separate building, kind of like a cabin in the woods. Only a few of them have a ramp to enter, the rest have a few steps.
One thing to be aware is that the shower in the main bedroom (with King bed) in all of the Grand Villas is a walk in shower. The accessible ones with roll in shower have a built in or fold down bench and grab bars. The non-accessible ones have a step over to get in and out.

Thank you, Sue. This is exactly the information I was looking for. We did decide to take them up on the Grand Floridian offer. Still a bit of a shock as I've been planning for OKW for the last 11 months! In all our years of WDW visits, we've never been blessed with an upgrade. This one is certainly a doozy!!!

Hope you have a wonderful time.
The pictures I’ve seen of the Grand Floridian GV are very elegant!
