O.K. I know this sounds crazy but we've never done the dining plan, so how do the credits stay seperated? Are they all lumped together by adult vs. child credits? Then, are they also seperated by counter service, snack, etc? Does everyone have to show their own card when placing the food order, or can I order for everyone and just give the one card. Please, explain to me how the whole adult/child food credit thing works. Thanks! Tink:goodvibe

I am not sure about the child credits, my kids counted as adults. Each credit is separated into counters service, table service & snack credits. You can each use your own card or one person can "pay" whichever you prefer to do.

On the basic DDP, all snack credits and CS credits are lumped together. For TS, they are split between child and adult. You are able to use your KTTK card to pay for everyone's meals. You don't need to have each person run their card at every meal.

What we did at many non-buffet meals was order two kids meals and two adult meals. At our last table service meal, we had 0 adult credits left and 4 kid credits. We paid OOP for the adult meals. It worked very well sharing. Our kids are 9, 7 and 5 and there was plenty of food for them with ordering two meals. The 5 year old also ate some food from my plate sometimes when she was particularly hungry.

On the DxDDP, both TS and CS credits are lumped together into "dining credits". They are not further separated by child vs adult. It does say on your card how many adults and children are in your party (this holds true for the basic DDP too).

Hope this answers your questions! :)

a couple of months ago!!!

I hope this makes since:
We had 4 people in our room--me my hubby and our 2 sons that were counted as adults--
each one of us had a room key--since these are also used as our park tickets.
My hubby kept up with everyone's card

So our room had
24 TS--One for each of us for our 6 night stay
24 CS--Same as above
24 SC--Same as above

*Always check your receipt, this will have how many credits you have left for that particular service
EXAMPLE:Our first meal was DTD-Earl of Sandwich-we each got a meal and the EOS is a Counter Service--so when we got our receipt it said 20 counter Services left

In my mom's room--we had mom (1 adult) and my daughter and neice (2 children)-so YES hers was always broke up like that:
She had 6 Adult CS and 12 Child CS so her receipt said:
5 Adult CS and 10 Child CS left
I don't think all CS are lumped together--when we ordered--they knew we had to get a child's counter service meal

IT was our first time on the DP and my husband was soooo surprised
at how easy it was:confused3 I don't know why I had been telling him all along that it was EASY!!!!!!
Have Fun--oh yeah if you want to charge to your room--you can put that on one key only!!

Your room card (KTTW) will tell the server how the credits are to be handled. If you are 2 adults and 2 under 9 children, your card will say 2A2C. If you are 2 adults, 1 junior (over 9) and 1 child (under 9) your card will say 3A1C.

So when you order you will be required to order under these guidelines. With a KTTW card that shows 2A2C you would not be allowed to order 3 adult CS meals.

At TS meals your receipt will list how many Adult credits are left and how many children's credits are left. For CS it will have only one total (same for snacks since there are no adult/children snacks...a snack is a snack).
