Need help with FP+ and changing a reservation

Hello

I am hoping that someone on here knows the answer to this. A good friend of mine is going to WDW in Feb. with her DH and 2 girls. They are staying at the YC as part of a convention through DH's work. They don't have their reservation number yet, but are able to purchase tickets. She wants to make a reservation now because her FP+ window opens on Friday. She is asking me if she can book any WDW hotel, set up her FP+ and then transfer the FP+ to the YC reservation whenever she gets it from her husband's work. She has tried calling her husband's office and they said that there is a block of rooms, but that they haven't broken it out into individual reservations yet--they said maybe by January. She has 2 young girls and is really concerned with getting her FP+ right at the 60 day window for 7DMT and other popular rides. Has anyone had a similar issue that can help me? My friend would be most grateful Thanks so much!!

Yes. If she is careful not to cancel before she links up the YC booking to her MDE.
