Need help with figuring out how many points I need

I just found out about renting DVC points. Could someone tell me how many total points I would need for checking in the Contemporary on 11/28/08 and checking out 12/08/08? We are actually going that time next year but I don't think the points are out yet and I was trying to get a feel for what me may need and how much it will cost. Thanks for any help!!!

It's rarely (if ever) cost effective to use points at a resort other than a DVC resort. November 28, 2009 is a saturday night and would be between 80-157 points for that night alone depending on view. At $10/point to rent, do you really want to be paying $800 a night for a $335 rack rate room?

For the rest of your stay it would be from 31-62 points a night compared to rack rate of $270-$575 a night.

Why not just book with CRO?

CRO? Not sure what that is.. I realized my son was signed on and I posted under his name LOL I am DisneyBrat and he is EpcotBrat. I found a chart for 2008 and it said Fri/Sat was 89. Sun - Thur 44. The second Fri/Sat was 79. I thought that was 89 for both nights then 44 for Sun - Thur and so on for a total of 212 points. I guess those are per night points. I like my way better

Yes those point values are per night, so 89 points/night for each weekend night, 44 points/night for each weekday night. And there is a $95 booking fee as well!

CRO is the Central Reservations Office, the people you call to book a Disney vacation directly from Disney.
