Hello fellow cruisers! oky well imma newbie and I'm kind of lost as to what some of your abbreviations mean i.e DD, CM, etc. ( I don't know the other, but I know there's plenty) Can someone pls clarify? Id really appreciate it! Thanks!

Hey there little sister ... let me help u out a little bit ... there are probably variations on some of these but I will tell you what I know and if I am off I am sure other DISers (DIS boarders) will put their 2 cents in!

CM - Cast Member (employees of DCL - Disney Cruise Line)

DH (sometimes followed by a number) - Dear or Disney Husband (if followed by number, number would indicate age)
DW - Dear or Disney Wife
DS - Dear or Disney Son
DD - Dear or Disney Daughter

Well, if I think of any other ones I will add to this thread!

toodles!

:smooth:

Just for the record, I've heard it said that:

CM is Cast Member for land, and Crew Member for the cruise ships. Just thought I'd add in my 2 cents worth, LOL!!!

I also found this on the tech board: http://www.wdwinfo.com/abbreviations.htm

;)

Hmmmmm, all this time I thought DH meant my damn husband......

Ha! Ha! Kelly ...

yup, it means DARN sometimes too ...

Oh, you just made my day Kelly. I understand where sometimes it can be damn husband. Oh, I was laughing and now the office staff wants to know why.

For at least a full month after I started posting here I thought that IS what DH meant so I have always referred to my husb. as WH (wonderful husb.) because I didn't want people to think I thought ill of him.

P.S. - He IS wonderful!!!!

Unless you live in Utah.

ROFL!

Reminds me of the time when DH, DSis, & DBfriend went to Pleasure Island. DH went to the bar to get us drinks and a young man approached him and asked if all three ladies were with him. DH replied, "Why yes, they are." "D*MN! How do you rate?" DH says, "We're from Utah!" The young mans jaw dropped to the floor, called his buddies over and they bought DH a drink! Then they proceeded to ask questions as to how evenings worked in our home.... DH replied he'd love to answer but he had to keep his stamina up! ;) A fun filled evening had by all!!

I thought the number was the number of the husband.

My DW always gets mad when I introduce her as my "first wife". I don't know why....

Now that is TOO funny - I would have never thought of that one!

you guys are far too funny and sooo clever!! thanks for the giggles!:Pinkbounc
