Hi all,

I'm picking FP tomorrow morning for a family trip in May. We're interested in riding all of the tier 1 attractions. We also have some Star Wars fans in the family so we want to ride all of the Star Wars attractions. How is my strategy?

If I can get SDD FP: rope drop MMRR, FP for ToT and Toy Story Mania, standby for Star Tours and Smugglers Run.

Also, how much do lines die down for RNRC in the evening? I don't think much of my family besides myself is interested in riding, but I haven't been on it before. I've heard bad things about the single rider line--what would be the best way for me to ride it? I think we might skip Fantasmic so I wouldn't mind riding it at closing.

We were able to pick up a secondary FP for RnRC, Star Tours, and AS2 easily on a CL 8 day. RnRC was just for 2 people, but the others were for 5 people. Waits do decrease in the evening. This is how we did SDD - last ride before closing! We had a FP for MF:SR and MMRR wasn't quite open (went the weekend before it opened). Definitely a park where lining up fast passes to be one after another in the morning definitely helped us out a lot. Hope that helps some.

Thanks! Would you recommend a later FP for MMRR or an earlier one for SDD? I worry rope drop would be stressful for MMRR since it's right at the front of the park and the first thing everyone sees. But having all early FP like you said does sound nice. MMRR seems more difficult to get than SDD, the early ones go fast.

We are also going in May (arrive 5/4) and the earliest time I could get for MMRR on 60+7 was 11:40AM. You might not have many options on what time to get MMRR if that is the FP you want. Right now, on that day, afternoon (after 5PM) is all that is available for MMRR.
On 60+4 MMRR was available in the afternoon. SDD was available all day on both days.

From my trip last week, and observing lines apps, it seems MMRR, which has a higher capacity level, gets shorter lines later in the day. Slinky Dog never seems to have short lines, and has a terrible queue. MFSR doesn't seem to get the shorter lines it did before it became a FP attraction (imagine that!). I think I would try really hard for Slinky Dog FP, rope drop MFSR if I was in the front of the pack, and try for MMRR later in the day without a FP. You need to be careful, though, about what line you are in if they begin opening rides a few minutes early. It is very hard to get a boarding group if you are inside a building.

You can usually ride SDD with half an hour or so wait at the end of the night (don't listen to the posted wait time, take a look at the line itself, we found it was overstated by 20 minutes when we were there in December). Another huge plus to that is that it is SO much better in the dark!

This is very true. Posted wait time was I think 45 mins in the evening and we waited only 15 minutes.
