I am in indecision land. HELP!!! DxDP is fun to plan, but I am stuck!

Marakeesh or coral reef - we don't live near anything ethnic other than Jap. steakhouse, so thought about giving marakeesh a try.

DHS day, H&V for breakfast, hoping for MM for Fantasmic. 50's and sci-fi don't appeal for some reason. Skip lunch, try for early MM, and grab something snack or counter to eat during wait if hungry? OR go to a resort lunch? We have a 2 yr old and a 9, so probably want to build in a break. If we do a resort, baby might nap on way?

last night dinner? Thought Ohana would be a great way to start after a long driving day, but can't decide on perfect last night. Hoping for CM earlier in week, thought about WCC, but it doesn't seem magical enough...Don't have plans for the day, might just park hop, so I have no clue where we'll be! Would it be better to to DTD first night, and save Ohana for last night? If so, where in DTD?

Sorry...H&V is off our list forever; two bad meals and never again (now breakfast might be better...don't know...not willing to try it); love Mama Melrose; with the cut down in number of times Fantasmic plays and if you really want to see it, I'd try for Mama; if not go with your back up plan of either going to one of the other resorts for lunch and getting a snack while waiting in line for Fantasmic (or you can eat inside the theater--they have food inside too)

We are trying Ohanas for the first time this year; we went to WCC in September, but we were not impressed at all--we were there for two hours, service was bad and the food was mediocre at best

How about T-Rex your last night? It seems to be getting really good reviews.

If you were considering WCC and are on DxDP, maybe use 2 credits and do Hoop De Doo Revue? That's what we'll be trying in a couple of weeks -- the dinner show there being our last night's dinner for the trip.

California Grill has a wonderful view of wdw. We also like to go to Konas early have dinner then go down to the beach and enjoy the fireworks and electrical water pageant. We often get our desserts to go or pick up a drink at the pool bar.

I think Marrakesh is a better choice than Coral Reef. The food is better and it definitely has an ethnic atmosphere and food flavor.
What about trying Jiko for your last night. I haven't been there, but I have heard great things about and made an adr for our trip coming in May.
Good luck!

We were not all that impressed with Coral Reef. I booked it mainly for the crab legs (not on the menu any more, but were in early 2008 for our DxDDP trip) and the food was okay but not outstanding. The aquarium view is really cool, but we don't plan to go back for a while.

Marrakesh is one of the first-time ADRs I'm most excited about for our upcoming trip.

DHS is always my toughest day to plan too if we're doing Fantasmic, and the dinner package makes it even tougher. It is really hard to build in a break because the dinner package has very early times and you still have to be back well before the show. I wouldn't try to fit in lunch, because with the dinner package you'll probably end up with a 4-4:30 ADR for dinner. Plus so many of the attractions are scheduled shows rather than rides, which makes it hard to fit a lot into one day.

If you do the dinner package, I'd think about doing breakfast and a just couple select rides in the morning. Leave the park for a rest around noon-ish, when the late risers start coming in. Try to get an early-ish time for the dinner package, around 3 or 4, and get back to DHS in time for dinner and to hit the rest of your must-do attractions in the afternoon before heading over to F!. Use snacks in between breakfast and lunch and again after dinner if your crew gets hungry before bed. And since you only have 2 meals instead of 3 for the day, maybe look at Brown Derby for the F! package since it is the best-reviewed TS at DHS.

I'm not impressed with any of the DDP participating restaurants at DTD at the moment so I wouldn't want to do that as a last night. For something more magical, how about California Grill? The view is absolutely spectacular, like nowhere else in the world.
