I'm responsible for posting podcasts and videocasts of our minister's sermons online. The videocasts are new, and I don't know how to make it such that they stream. It seems, now, that the user has to download the entire 500MB before the video starts.
I could, of course, reduce the size of the video, but it still ends up as a download instead of streaming. And if we reduce the size of the video far enough, you cannot really see anything.
I've posted the video on Facebook (all 500MB) and it works great. It's streams, and it is very good looking. So the problem is clearly with what we're not doing on our own website, and what Facebook is doing with whatever MPEGs we upload.
One of the recommendations I've gotten from another forum seemed to indicate I needed to make it into a flash file? But it looks like the software for that is many hundreds of dollars, far more than the church could even afford.
Does anyone know what I can do?
