I am trying to renew my AP, which expires Jan. 15, using my DVC discount. I can't find how to do this on the DVC site. Anyone out there who has already done it? Also, we are going to BWV on Feb. 2. Will the AP voucher get to me before I leave?

I received this e-mail in response to my questions about renewing my AP.

At the current time Annual Passes are renewable
at the 4 Disney Theme Parks or Downtown Disney. We
will soon be able to process renewal requests at
Member Services but there has been a delay.

Passes purchased through the Member Website are
for new passes only at this time. We apologize
for
the communication errors.

Sincerely,
Mary

I called MS earlier this week to try to renew. MS told me that MS were not equipped to process APs but someone would call me to renew my AP. I'm still waiting.

Nanajo1,
MS also told me that they cannot yet do renewals at the DVC site or over the phone and that I will need to do it at the parks. They said there is a 30 day grace period, which works out for us this time, since passes expire 1/15 and we go on 2/2. Don't know what we would do if we weren't going within the 30 grace period!

My AP expired 1/9/05. I have been trying to renew it since then with no luck. On Monday, someone at Member Services took my info and said someone from Guest Services would call me in two days to renew it.

Well, it's now Friday and nobody called me back. I just got off the phone with Member Services. I was told there are problems with the computer and they still can't renew them online or via telephone. I told her I was concerned because I'm not planning any trips to WDW within the 30 day grace period and I don't want to lose the renewal descount. She said that wouldn't happen.

You would think they MS would have been prepared for renewals before they announced we could renew them. I am very disappointed in the lack of planning by Disney and Member Services.

You might be better off forgetting about renewal and just buying a new pass when you need it. With DVC discount the renewal savings is only about $15.

My AP expires today and still no call from MS. We return to BWV 2/14 which means we will have to be sure to make to Guest Services to renew within the grace period. I know is only about $17 between a new AP and a renewal but it irks me that the renewal procedure was not in place. :worried:

Another option is to call the passholder renewal number and tell them you are a DVC member. They may be able to give you the member price and you then show the DVC card and voucher to get the pass at the gate.

hey...I dont know about you guys...but $17 is a lot of money where I am from...I mean that is slightly more then i got back from the last round of tax cuts :smooth:
