Need help with AKL pool view room request.

I know we would like to stay in Giraffe Trail 3rd or 4th floor. We would like to be near an elevator or stairs to get out to the pool easily. I know it is only a request but I would like to add one to our reservation.
What I need to know is where are the elevators or stairs to get out to the pool. Is there more then 1 elevator? Is there any stairs on the end like I have seen on other resorts? I have also read about the secret door to the buses, where is it?

We requested 3rd floor close to lobby. We got room 3018. It was a perfect location for us. There was an elevator just across the hall that went right down to the pool and a short walk to the restaurants. The lobby was a short walk also. We never found the secret door. We just cut through the gift shop to get to the buses.

There is an elevator in Zebra Trail that opens near the door to the pool. I’m not familiar with any other ways into the pool area from indoors, but I could be mistaken. This door is not too far from the lobby.

It is a flat walk from the pool into the elevators. One entrance to the elevators is by The Mara/Boma. The other is by the lockers, the game room, and Simbaa's clubhouse. Both of those entrances to the pool area are flat - no stairs.
I have never figured out the secret door, either, although I see it from the outside of the building. I'm going on memory but I'm pretty sure there are a few steps (2-3) up from the gift shop to reach the lobby if you cut through there from the buses. It's a shorter walk, but you will meet a few stairs.

There is also a ramp in the gift shop so you can completely avoid those stairs if necessary. If you are in the gift shop headed into the lobby the ramp is on your right.
