Need help with a name of store, in MGM Studios......

This September I am going down to Disney World with my two best friends and when we get there I am having my birthday, so I wanted to get myself something really special. What I want to get is one of those framed pictures of Lilo & Stitch, that is hand drawn( but not colored in, it does have some color to them). I got one of just Lilo, when I was there in 2003 and for the life of me I can't remmber the name of the store. It is in MGM Studios, I know that much. And if I remmber right at times there is someone there doing the drawings, so you can watch.

It may have been The Art of Disney store. Do you remember where it was located??? This store is over by Playhouse Disney and Voyage of the Little Mermaid.

No, I know it's not The Art of Disney Store. I think this store was located more to the front of MGM Studios( like up by the front gate). Thanks for trying to help me. I wish I could remmber the name of it.

I can't help you with the name, but I know the type of drawing you're talking about and I remember seeing them. I'm almost positive it was sold in a store that also sold Christmas ornaments, but it wasn't the Christmas shop near Mama Melrose's. Instead it was on one of the main streets in the very beginning of the park and it was the last building on a block.

Maybe this will help someone else know the one you're talking about.

we were just there in June. My dd had a long talk with the animator who was drawing the day we were there. It is the gift shop you come out to when you leave animator's tour & meeting incredibles. He told us he is only one of 10 animators disney employs. How sad. Good luck finding your picture.

Those type of drawings are in several areas. I'm pretty sure that there is one on Main Street also. Just keep your eyes open. Sorry I can't help you with the name of the shop off hand, but I can picture it in my mind --for some reason MGM is the one park I have problems remembering where stuff is-except of course "Villans In Vogue" I love that store!

I think the shop you're looking for it "Once Upon A Time". It's on Sunset Boulevard and is the closest shop to the Beauty and the Beast show. I'm pretty sure last time I went there they were doing drawings like that. I think they also have an artist at the gallery by Disney Animation.

You are right, they did also sell a lot of Christmas ornments in the store that I am talking about with the drawings(pictures), that I want.

Thanks for all the help everyone! I'm sure once I get there I will remmber what store it is, it's just that I like to somewhat have an idea of what stores I really want to go into and spend the most of my $$$$. LOL

Someone mentioned it already, but it does sound like you're describing the Once Upon a Time store by Theater of the Stars (maybe 1/2 way, 3/4ths of the way down the road to Tower of Terror and Rock N Rollercoaster) I used to have to go over and work there when I was on the college program and they were shortstaffed. Half of the store is Christmas ornaments with a huge area in the center with the sketches.

It is Once Upon A time and it is down near the Beauty & the Beast Show area. We go in there all the time.

You can get the same type of picture at the Art of Disney at DTD. They have animators there at times too.

They probably have one in each park. In MK the animator is in Uptown Jewelers on Main Street.
