We are checking in to RPR on Thurs 10/23, but we are flying out of Indy on Wed 10/22. We will arrive in Orlando late Wed night (about 11:00PM) and pick up our rental car at terminal.
We need a decent but inexpensive ($40-$60) hotel as close to Universal as possible to stay Wed night...
Don't care about anytinng but price, proximity to Universal, and clean and comfortable. Basically just a place to check in around midnight and check out early next day...

I have just about every discount card avail if that helps...
Any suggestions????

Thanks,

John

try these websites

www.priorityclub.com (holiday inn national website)

www.hotelmartusa.com (great rates) but must prepay for room. takes 48 hours for hotel to get confirmation of your reservation. after that though call hotel to check and see if they have your info. my fav was holiday inn mercado 8214 Universal blvd.

There are plenty of hotels on I-drive to choose from also the best western at florida mall is nice & cheap:D

Have you thought about using Hotwire or Priceline?

Killing a bit of time today so I ran your date through hotwire and the following may be of interest (www.betterbidding.com was the source of the guesses btw):

4* for $47 - More unsure than normal about this one - amenities match Radisson Hotel Orlando but this is usually rated a 3.5* by Hotwire. Possibly the Crowne Plaza Universal byt High Speed Internet ammenity isn't usually included. Regardless pretty good price given the rating :)

3.5* for $48 - believed to be the Sheraton World Resort

HotelKingdom has Best Western Movieland for $36. I've stayed there and it is close to Universal. I like BestWestern Plaza International because of their movies but they are $50.63

We visited Universal in April '03. The first night we stayed at Sierra Suites on Universal Blvd. before we checked into the HRH. It was a very clean and spacious room with 2 queen beds, sofa bed, and full kitchen. Pretty close to Universal, it took us about 5-7 minutes to drive there. And I got a great internet rate of $55/night. Here is a link to their website:

There were several nice facilities along Universal Blvd. They all looked pretty new, so I bet any of those hotels would be nice.

Have a great time! We love Universal!
