I am going to WDW the last week of Sept or middle of Oct. There are 4 adults and 1 toddler going. I am wanting to know what sites to visit and people who have booked through them. I want to stay offsite this year. Last Sept we stayed onsite and are wanting to spend less stay longer this year. I want a condo or vacation home. Any suggetions are greatly appreciated. I am a little skeptical booking through somewhere I don't know. That's why I am wanting to hear from ones who have. Thanks

WE have booked several condos through the web site vrbo.com. Only one has been in the orlando area the rest on the gulf. Have not had any problems. Just compare prices as there can be a big difference from owner to owner...Linda

Try Ready Set Go on Skyauction.com. I booked 2-br at Orange Lake at a very good price (no bidding). Or try to bid there if you want cheaper.

I have rented 3 times. I use elitevacationhomes.com. You only have to pay a one night's deposit, no security deposit and they have a liberal cancellation policy. They also give a AAA discount. I've always been given beautiful homes and had great service. If you need any other info, email me.

We booked a home directly through the owner last Dec and have booked again for this year. Definitely the way to go, we were very pleased with the house and the owner was excellent to deal with.

I bought a package from Travels to go out of San Diego, and I got three of these certificates for the price of one......it's for a week in a condo- two places to choose from-either Westgate-guaranteed no time share tours, or a place called Summer Bay. I think. If you might be interested in this.....let me know. email: shefor24@hotmail.com

I have never stayed at this condo but communicated with the owner a few times.
Very nice people and I think the location is great. Just thought I would pass it along.
Email minnie@resort4miles2wdw.com
She can tell you how to get to the website.
Good luck!

I've read lots of good reviews about the Tropical Palms resort ( www.tropicalpalms.com ). We will be staying there this May for 9 nites, 2 adults and 4 kids. We are paying $79/nite for a 2 bedroom "funsuite" (cabin) with a full kitchen and sleeping loft. Sleeps 8. You can do a search on this site and read more about it, sounds like a great place!

We are staying off site. Heck I was beginning to wonder if I was the only one who thought this was a good idea. We have booked a 6br/3ba home in Formosa Gardens. I understand that's 2 miles from WDW. We booked through greg knowles. He's at greg@disneyvacationvilla.com for emailing or 1-407-579-3112. I'm sure he could help you, he and his wife has a home I wanted badly with the mickey mouse pool, but he'd booked his. He manages several other homes though. If you'd like to see the site his home is on go to www.disneyvacationvilla.com . He's super nice, and I don't believe you'll find a 24hr conceigre at other home sites. He's definetly a hand's on guy. He is gonna stock our kitchen for us and aid with planning my girls b-day party the day after we arrive! He has strollers, gates, and cribs ready for you as well. Just a super nice person. Hope this helps and Have Vacationing.

We went November 2000 and stayed in a house at a community called Sunset Lakes in Kissimee. With a shortcut you could get to WDW in 5 minutes (no lie). The house had 2 master bedrooms with private bathrooms and 3 other bedrooms. Living room, kitchen and one of those screened in pools. The house was immaculate and the furniture upscale. We loved it. www.floridaleisure.com

it was less than 200 a night! 11 people stayed here it was great

Sheraton Vistana Village. There is also a sister property, the Sheraton Vistana Resort. We are going on the recommendation of a friend who stayed recently. He said, fairly new, great kiddie pool, restaurant, deli that serves Boar's Head brand, very spacious.

A 2 bedroom villa sleeps 8 - King Bed in Master Suite, 2 doubles in second bedroom, plus sofa bed. (We will bring a pack & play for 2 YO) Full kitchen, dining room, washer & dryer, living room, and patio or balcony. Rate is approx. $150/night. About 4 miles from WDW.

There are lots & lots of others in the area. Good Luck!
