Need Help--Special Ed jobs in Carolinas

My partner and I are relocating from NYC to anywhere in the Carolinas. We have family in both North and South Carolina and are interested in Raliegh NC, Charlotte NC, and Columbia SC. Here is where I need help....

I work in a special Education related field. I work with Developmentally Disabled Adults who have psychaiatric disabilities. I am interested in knowing if there are agencies in any of those cities that might be hiring. I have tried all of the internet job search sites, but not much is showing up. I know that there are agencies out there, it is just a matter of finding them.

Cany anybody point me in the right direction? I would TRULY appreciate any help. We have time....we have our apartment here for another year, but we have decided to start now.

I dont' know if this will help but Clay Aikens foundation has a website with a section for employment. He has made a major commitment for those with disabilities that is getting alot of attention. Hope this helps.

I think most of those jobs are through the state in NC. Have you looked at the state's employement website? I do not have a link for it here at home but can get it tomorrow if you need it.

Thanks a million...I'll check it out now. As for Asheville.....My kid sister lives there, went to Warren Wilson College and now works for Camp Woodson. I have asked her to look around for me, but she is in the woods for days on end and all together too busy to even think about it right now. I'll be sure to look you up the next time I visit!

I'm from Asheville! www.msj.org is the hospital there's website, jobs are posted on it...Not sure if they have anything or not, but their personnel services are top notch, and they could probably direct you to some of the agencies in that area-or if you called that office, ask for Ruby, she's terrific!! (ok, so she might have retired, I've been in college for a few years...she was there in the past year, so I'm assuming she's still there)
