DS10 just lost 2 molars, one on each side. He's having a very hard time chewing things so I've had to make soft foods for him. I'm running out of ideas for dinner and wondered if anyone can help me think of stuff. So far he's had scrambled eggs, pancakes, soup, and broiled fish.

I always make ds mashed potatoes when he has his braces tightened. If I make dinners that are soft casseroles he can usually do okay - broccoli rice, enchiladas, small pasta, shepard's pie, chicken and dumplings, etc.

Ice cream! Under certain circumstances, you can make a whole meal out of it. ::yes::

You can make flavored rice, pasta with plain sauce. Couscous if he likes that sort of thing.

When i had my wisdom teeth removed , I lived on wendys Bake potato with bacon and cheese sauce, Very good!! and chef boyarede chili mac.

Kraft Macaroni and Cheese is always a good option.

soups--even a cold fruit soup, apple sauces--so many different flavors :goodvibes --yogurt, cottage cheese--we sometimes dress ours with sugar(splenda) & cinnamon--tinned fruits, puddings, oatmeal, cream of rice/wheat, quiches, custards, tapioca, banana splits ,tinned veg like peas or spinach, carrots, spaghettios, tinned raviolis--anything you can puree in a blender of food processor, smoothies, milk shakes...

I'm hungry!

Cream of wheat, applesauce, pasta, canned fruits, mashed potatoes. Graham (sp?) crackers dunked in whatever beverage get soggy quick, so do breakfast cereals like Rice Krispies.

The people who make Boost (the drink with nutrients) also make a pudding. It isn't the best pudding in the world, but it is OK, and gives you some healthy stuff!

When my daughter knocked 2 permanent teeth out and broke her mandible jaw, we used to make her shakes but would use a boost shake for the mix. She will still ask for one every once in awhile.
