I am now paying 1341.88 for package at the CSR but I have never stayed there and I love the monorail so I would love to stay at the CR. I would have to pay 2209.00 for a garden wing room there and I have stayed in the tower rooms there but never in a garden wing room. Can someone tell me about the garden wing rooms and do you think it will be worth the change.:confused3

it's a personal choice, but I would stay with CSR. I would rather use the extra money needed for CR to have another trip (maybe at christmas?). The price for CR is close to double of the price for CSR. You could do alot of extras for that!!

Mot only that but then you will also have to pay for food on top of the $2200.

I would not give it up. I don't imagine I would consider it. You are paying a lot more plus you would have to pay for food on top of that. Maybe take the money you would save by sticking w/ CSR and put it in a "next trip to WDW fund" you'll already have a jump on your next trip!:goodvibes

If you really want to move to CR, call and ask for guest serivices to see if they can move you to CR on the free dining promotion. If you can keep your free dining, it might be worth it. Otherwise, I agree with the PPs, stay CSR and save the money for another trip.

We've stayed at both CR and CSR. We love CR, but, frankly, we had a wonderful time at CSR at well. It's a gorgeous resort, especially a night. The pool is fun and there is a nice big hot tub -- more like a small pool.

As for transportation, I agree nothing beats the monorail. But, at CSR we had a rental car. We were able to park it very near our room and used it everywhere we went. CSR is very centrally located and driving to the parks and other resorts was very eary.

Does the new price @ CR include dining? Since I'm not sure if we are comparing apples to apples here, so it's hard to give advice. If you post your dates, and the number of people going -- maybe we can check some different options for you to see if CR might be cheaper.

For those prices, I would definitely keep CSR...it is beautiful. Only way I would change to CR would be for a MK view.

CSR and free dining? Now that sounds wonderful! ;) Of course, I have never had any desire to stay at CR-just does not appeal to us in the least. JMHO!

I maybe going against the popular opinion here but I would upgrade to the Contemporary because when you would upgrade from a Moderate Resort to a Deluxe Resort, so you would be getting more amenities and etc. Now if you were able to keep the free dinning and upgrade to the Contemporary, I am sure everyone would say go for it.

do not give up that free dining!! It is too good a deal to pass up!!

Can they switch your free dining ressie to the CR?? That may be a great option...

No way! I've stayed at both and CR just doesn't do it compared to CSR. Not for me anyway. You won't find a better place to eat than the PM on the DDP either.

Thank you all for your advice. The price I said included dining at the CR. It is for the same package we have at CSR. I have never stayed at CR in garden wing, what are those rooms like? Can you get a MK view there? Thanks again for all the help.:confused3

you won't get a MK view from the garden wing. We lucked up with a code for 160.00 for a standard view garden wing. We actually got a water view and enjoyed the water parade at night! The room was plenty big for the five of us. The only complaint is I felt you had to wait forever to get buses to MGM and Ak.

I have stayed at both resorts and I'll be honest...I don't care for Coronado Springs Resort. (just me) BUT I would never trade Free Dinning at CSR for a Garden View room at the Contemporary.
