I am REALLY surprised that you guys have to do so much shopping. We don't expect children until 5th grade to bring ANYTHING. 6th grade and above we expect them to bring a pen, pencil and a ruler.
Half of them don't even manage that!![]()
I wish it were that easy here!
It seems ludicrous to have to go to 6 stores to find that one orange spiral notebook when the first five had plenty of spiral notebooks in other colors. It's a colossal waste of resources (time, gasoline). What's wrong with buying whatever color you want and LABELING the notebook appropriately? School teachers can read can't they? They shouldn't need color-coding.
I don't even have kids and think this is just nuts.
I agree with you on that! We went to 3 stores and finally found an orange notebook, but it isn't a plain notebook, we found one in the specialty area, it is based orange with a peace symbol on it, I decided that was good enough. BUT I remember when I was in school we could pick any notebooks we wanted. it was so much fun then to get the themed notebooks. Now it is too boring for the kids. i like it better with individuality being able to show.
