Hey, since this is so big a community I am sure someone can help here. My mother's birthday is coming up and I want to find this book series for her she always talks about. When I was little she was preparing to move to Scotland and gave away a lot of her books. She really enjoys romance novels, and I am trying to get some confirmation on this series. All she remembered was it was in the early 1980s and had a Jewel in the title. She told me that one of the books in particular had a man named Rafe in it, and there was some talk about going to a particular grocery store to get green stamps (she had to explain to me that these were stamps you got for every dollar you spent so that you could go to a store and purchase stuff). I have searched on the net and came up with the Regency Jewel Series by Helen Ashfield. In it were these books, "Opal," "Ruby," "Pearl," "Garnet," "Sapphire," "Emerald," "Topaz," and "Crystal."
Can anyone confirm that this is the book series I am looking for?
