Guys-

What costumes are available when making a boy character that are not available to purchase in the game?

Girls-

same question

I know the Lanyard Shirt and the camera shirt but have not made a character in so long are there any more?

Also anyone who has made a character at the park recently...what are you getting now when making a character?

thanks-Mal

I just made my own character a couple of days ago as my daughter & I were beginning to disagree on how to dress & play the character we were sharing ;) . It looked like to me the only two shirts were the camera & lanyard shirts. Though my daughter just informed me what I thought was supposed to be a lanyard shirt is called a "bling" shirt.

ned shirts, all styles of long sleeve shirt, plus the 50th shirts are a "gift" when making a new charachter

in the park, you get the green tuirnstile, mickey ears and Disneyland 5/9 pin plus 4 rooms (including tiki room) and one of your choice

I believe that babydoll dresses are also only available when creating a new girl character.

There is also a girls style shirt with the VMK logo on it only available when making a girl character. Hope this helps.:)

Doc

I beleive it has been reported that you no longer get ears or multiple rooms when making character in the parks.

If someone who made a character recently would post it would be greatly appreciated.

Cabelle1863- yes the kids call the lanyard shirt the "Bling" or "Bling Bling" shirt because most can not spell Lanyard I think

thanks cTeddiesgirl and sassymom I need to make pics of those

I believe it started in December. Flying Pegasus reported making a new character in the park and got nothing with it. :confused3

This really made me laugh! I saw someone trading a 'bling' shirt, and even though I read through the entire thread, I still did not have a clue as to what it was. I consider 'bling' to be rubies, diamonds, and gold. If pin lanyards are bling, then I am rich, lol!

This is still correct. Last week I made a new character for my daughter in DL. She was hoping for a special name that she had thought of, and wanted her to be born in the park. I just signed her in to VMK (her name was approved! :goodvibes), and she had all of the things that Doc listed here.

Slightly off topic, but Mal, thanks for doing this. I didn't play VMK at all for the summer. My kids had kept things going for my character, but when I came back in the fall, I referred to the guide several times a day to get back into the swing of things. It has been a help to our family so many times, and I wanted to let you know that your work is appreciated here!

Hey Mal,

If you want exact wording, or even feel welcome to use the screenshot if you want, here you go.

Yay! Thanks for the information. This must have been a temporary bug that has been corrected. Woot!

The long sleeved plaid button ups are also available with boys. I always get them when making boys.

thanks Dreams I will use that! Good to know that the perks for making a character in park are back!

YES!

Although I did not get to make one in Sept because all the computers were down at WDW when we stopped by VMK central.

Also, when creating a new character, you get a choice from all the sweatshirts and long sleeve shirts that are no longer buyable. Some shirts girls get more color choices than what are buyable.
There is also a shirt for girls simply called Jacket that can only be obtained from creating a new character.

You can see how it is one solid color next to the Jacket with Shirt. :)

The unisex VMK T-Shirt has more colors available.
The girls VMK T-Shirt is available.

Ned T-Shirts are also available.

Here is also a pic of the T-Shirts with Camera with all colors except the orange and the T-Shirts with Lanyards with all colors except the purple.

Please feel free to use the pics if you want. :)

I am going to try to create a new boy character next Friday at WDW (woot!) and will see what is available and report to you, Mal!

Okay -

Dug up this thread because I have a question. I created a new character at the park recently. I tried to title her DisneyDreams (with the intent of making her my new main character) and it was not approved. After EVERY possible creative variation I could thing of - I FINALLY got I approved. (btw - NOTHING with Disney - or Yensid - got approved)

I created this character at DLR. FINALLY her title was accepted today, but -

She only has 1 room, no ears, no Born in Park badge, nothing.

Seems that in the re-naming process, she lost everything that is given to a Born in Park character. So - now what??? Has anyone who encountered this successfully gotten their "Born in Park stuff"?

Who do I talk to in an effort to get her all of her Born in Park stuff that she should come with? :( I am really bummed about this.

Any suggestions appreciated.

Thanks!

As so you should be. I know this happened to someone before but I can not remember what they did to get it resolved. It was actually their husband acct I believe.

Why don't you make a separate thread about this since someone might miss it here.
